I predict the NCAA fines the school and suspends him for attending an event with unsanctioned aquatic activities and appearing in news media without prior approvals from the NCAA.

Is that there are many rumors out there but it does appear that Josh's story was made up. Maybe he jumped off the balcony to save Manti Teo's girlfriend. He is injured in which USC cannot afford and who knows what his future is now?

The media won't blow it up like Manti, but blatantly making up a story like this makes one a scumbag (if true), Manti is a complete idiot, but the media for a while wanted to make it seem like he was the worst person on earth for getting catfished. Wonder how they will handle this one

Even if the story he floated was true, it was boneheaded. Incapacitating yourself as a 'rescuer' doesn't do anything but create more victims - its why the Japanese use to tell snipers to shoot to wound.
Hopefully Shaw can make a quick recovery.
