i actually like it. Ive been very critical of madden for the past.......well every PS3 version actually.....but! I like this one. My biggest gripe has always been it never feels like watching a football game, hence very little excitement and very little replay ability....but they did a good job. The player physics are still wonky as hell but I can overlook it and its still a little glitchy. Fifa, NBA2K and Mlb the Show always did a better job of making the gameplay feel like watching as a spectator...there are excitement to those games i just never had felt with Madden until now.
I love that i can create a player and have him actually play while controlling the whole team as well....why NBA2K took this feature out his beyond me.
I like the trainer mode with specific tasks and side games to play, unlike previously where practice was running the same play over and over and picking the Defense play and offense play and then having to stop the gameplay and choose new plays....it was just tedious and boring after awhile.
The new defensive player cam perspective is interesting and might be gimmicky, not sure if i won't just go back to regular view. I do like the ability to change camera view by hitting the D pad up and down, real nice!
I also like the option to build confidence or train specific players during the off week in franchise mode. I played AllPro mode and its giving me a real challenge, my go to plays are not always there waiting for me to get an easy first down. Running the ball has been giving me fits and you have to be patient and let the holes form, you can't just turbo through the line with Adrian Peterson like i remembered before. Also passing is very much about timing more than ever i feel.....but when you make a mistake its not always an interception like the last version of madden i played. I like the receivers sometimes run wrong routes and drop easy passes...again makes it feel like I'm watching Giant football :)
For me Madden always looked good played adequately but never gave me game experience and i think this year they are on the path of getting it finally right.
The no OTP/EASHL is a deal breaker for me. I'm so bummed. NHL has been my drug of choice for the last 5 years.
EA is all about microtransactions via ultimate team. They are going to start rolling back game modes and other features behind a pay wall. Just wait for it fellas.
I can't buy Madden yet again only to have it sit unopened. I've got the last two years unopened. MLB the Show is just too damn good.

Understand the concern here. Can't say I play those game modes but in general, this game looks like it will easily be the best sports game ever made. It looks absolutely phenomenal. Downloaded demo and about to give it a go...

Haven't played buy historically madden has failed miserably it's first go around on next gen. Can't imagine getting a system just for this game.
I wouldn't get a new system just for Madden. I said that in already planning on getting one, it's a matter of when. I am a huge MLB The Show fan that's another reason I'm itching.
Oh, and I know the 2K series gets put on a pedestal on BBI, put I could not stand the series. There are a bunch of reasons, and I won't bore you with them, but it is insanely overrated here. The visuals were awesome, but gameplay was awful. Madden had gone down hill too, but I think that so many people here hate Madden so they try to make 2K out to be much better than it was. Although, I do wish it was still around because this monopoly has caused complacency at EA.
First time in years that I would say that the replay value is high. EA & Madden is definitely headed in the right direction. I can't put the controller down!
As not watching college football I never had any interest in this game but picked one up a used one on sale the other day just to try it.
I have been playing the Road to glory mode and it is actually pretty fun. You start out as a high school star and have to try and win scholarships from colleges and then select one to go to and try and be a college star. It is a better game than I expected.

Same here with the PS3. I do not have the slightest urge to make the move to PS4. Maybe if the price drops after Christmas I will consider.
I will be picking up Madden 15 this afternoon as well. IrishCMac on the PS3 Network if anyone wants to play online.
