Been a Giant fan for 41 seasons and am a Manning fan. BUT.. The Rams lost Sam Bradford again and have Hill as their starter. How about trading Eli to the Rams for RG Rodger Saffold and next years 1st round pick? Can't wait to take the hits on this one!
Not even responding just going to change the page and go to a different site because this boggles my mind
We get a top 5 pick, and Nassib as the starter.
KILL ME NOW!!!
So let's give up our 2X SB MVP QB to help a team out. While screwing ourselves over in the process. If the Rams had Eli it would be a pick in the 20s. Terrible terrible idea.
No he's not. He's actually worse. Be a Giants optimist all day. But there's no 'wait and see' on this dude.
Love it!!!
LMAO
On lots of drugs.
It's not about Eli. It's about Eli's blocking and the playbook. McAdoo's offense will take pressure off the line and WRs... and therefore Eli once he's comfortable within it. JR in my humble opinion should have gone Martin then Richburg with such a deep WR draft. Sure, Beckham's much better than Huff or Moncrief or the other mid round WRs. But it doesn't do Eli any good to have a top tier WR while starting Mosley or Walton. What's TC going to do when Walton's inadequacies are truly revealed in regular season games? Start Richburg at Center... and who are the starting Guards? JR knew Walton in FA was not a solution so he drafted the best Center in the nation with his 2nd pick. It's only a matter of time before we see Walton for who he is... the Center PFF rated the worst in the League in his last full season in 2011. He didn't get better while not playing football, and he last took a regular season snap in early 2012. He is not good, and the Jets game was a prelude to how bad he'll be in the regular season.
It's not about Eli... he'll win the division when JR puts him behind a real good line with good blocking RB and TE again.

Nice post. SPOT ON assessment.
I haven't seen this much BBi negativity ever. And I've been here since 96...some of the negative is so over the top and unfounded yet it's not isolated to a few apes or mouth breathers. A lot of people are crushing this regime. I just don't get it.
Maybe the giants do suck and this is the end but I don't think it's crazy to believe things end well in 2014. Coughlin is a good coach and consistent displayed an ability to Coach up young talent. Eli has shown time and time again that he will help turn unknown Wrs into household names.
But now they are garbage. Mosley won't develop. Randle won't develop. Jernigan is terrible and won't shine now that he has a legit shot at playing time.
We didn't have Wrs heading into 2009. Or. 2011. We had no dline in 2008 once Osi went down. Eli couldn't win on the road before 2007.
All debunked thanks to a system that fucking works. But now it can't work because the team went 7-9 last year and young unknown players aren't shiny.
I'll take my chances on this team. They have earned my trust.
I'm as nervous as anybody about it. I know people say it's a new offense, but they aren't even executing the simplest of plays. Now, Eli is a rhythm QB so pre-season games do not always cater to his game and he has looked bad in the past yet had good seasons, but I am nervous. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see this offense improve every game and lead this team to the playoffs. This division is winnable and the Wild Card should be right there within reach also.
So you don't panic and make a trade like this, giving up on a 2 time SB winner and the season. It's just silly.
It can't happen in the preseason because after a quarter or quarter-and-a-half he's out of there. Let's see how he plays for an entire game before shipping him out.
You want a bag of SHIT?!!
You want a bag of SHIT?!!
As opposed to Tark....
Smh, had that same quick thought. Wonder how long Eli has this year to pull himself together before TC starts wondering if it's time to pull the trigger? Hope it doesn't get to that, of course.
On lots of drugs.
There's also the little thing called the salary cap. I don't know what the Rams cap situation is, but whenever somebody proposes a trade they never mention potential cap hits.
You want to bring discussion, do the homework. Then maybe we'll chat. (Not likely, but maybe.)
Also Tark, before you run Eli out of town, remember how long it took to replace Phil Simms.
Group effort. A lot went wrong.
Reese isn't a bad gm. People like blaming it all on him because it's easy and convenient and there are some Eli apologists who like using Reese as the scapegoat. A lot went wrong the last two years.
Giants still need to keep both Eli and Nassib. Stop talking trade.
