Rate My Fantasy Team Please

Mr. Nickels : 8/29/2014 12:26 am
10 team 3 keepers half ppr

I picked 8th (except in the first which I traded up)

I got everyone I wanted except Shane Vereen who was taken in the first draftable round (Round 3). I passed on Ray Rice twice to take my WR2 and WR3 and he went 1 pick before i settled on Gerhart but I got Pierce 3 rounds later. Maybe he steals the job? I have no backup TE but I have Graham. There are TEs on the wire (Gates is).

Got both the QBs I want without spending too high a pick on them. Feeling pretty safe about QB.

One of my backup RBs has to step up. Two lottery ticket rookies (Andre really isn't a lottery ticket as much as Freeman though).

I am all WR upside after Demaryious. I hope I didn't go too boom or bust TD heavy. Floyd should be pretty safe. Cordarrelle has elite tools and everyone is high on him. I hate his QB and that I also own his RB so I am going to want AP to run as much as possible (or catch).

Thinking of adding Marvin Jones to IR him but I don't want to tinker and overmanage too much..

QB Tom Brady (7th) Matt Ryan (12th)

RB Adrian Peterson (1st Keeper) Jamaal Charles (2nd Keeper) Toby Gerhart (6th) Lamar Miller (8th) Bernard Pierce (9th) Andre Williams (11th) Devonta Freeman (14th)

WR Demaryious Thomas (3rd -first pick of the non keeper rounds) Cordarrelle Patterson (5th) Michael Floyd (6th) Justin Hunter (10th)Rueben Randle (13th)

TE Jimmy Graham (4th - 3rd Keeper)

D/ST Houston Texans

K Adam Vinatieri

Appreciate any feedback guys thanks..
Your starting lineup is going to be tough to beat

however, I hate your backup RBs. I like Pierce but I am not a fan of Gerhart at all. Freeman has potential but he is like 3rd or 4th on their depth chart so I don't know if he makes and impact this year at all. In a ten team league there might be a guy like Kelce available as a backup TE who has huge upside. I love your WRs.

Someone posted it a couple days ago. Its great.

I hate my RBs too
Mr. Nickels : 8/29/2014 12:39 am : link
it was pretty hard to grab them though. I passed on Sankey for Cordarrelle. I also passed on Ray Rice to take Floyd. I am thinking I am regretting that. But then my WRs would be very weak if i went Sankey/Rice. Cordarrelle and Floyd prob have the biggest upside at WR. And I got Hunter too.

I panicked taking Lamar Miller. I picked him over MJD and Sproles. Not sure if I messed that up.

Pierce I took because i figured he has an opportunity to maybe steal the job who knows. I am not that high on him.

I have to hope Andre and Devonta emerge. I still think Lamar Miller has a chance to breakout too especially for such a cheap price.
I took Toby

one pick ahead of Steven jackson and one pick after Ray Rice. Trent went the pick after M Floyd and Sankey went the pick before him.
You made the right moves picking the WRs over the backs that were

available. I know some are against handcuffs on here but your backs are so good that it might be worth picking up McKinnon and Knile Davis. The Vikings have been using McKinnon a fair amount all over the field as a returner, runner and route runner.
your team is stacked

I do not like Miller
robbieballs2003 : 8/29/2014 12:47 am : link
more because I don't trust that Miami offense and then you have Moreno so they will probably split the workload. Some splits are alright imo like Bernard and Hill or Bush and Bell since they complement each other well where they can be used in the pass game and are on good offenses. That Miami backfield just really worries me.

See how it plays out but don't be afraid to go with something more steady for your backups than the high risk/high reward guys since your starting lineup is awesome. Maybe you can package a back with a WR to upgrade your #3 RB although that may be hard in a 10 team league.
anyone care to rate my team?

Appreciate the input

and thanks for that link that is a very thorough summary feels like it was custom written.

I feel like I should see how week 1 goes. What if Toby Lamar and Pierce somehow all blow up?

If I were to trade for a back id try for Vereen but not sure what it'd take and the guy who took him reached for him and loves him.

QBs Foles had a breakout year may be tough to follow up but that Chip offense is legit. I like your faith in our QB. He has a shot at being relevant.

RB- Gio will get you a ton of pts catching it. Jennings could be used a lot. Both guys prob lose goal line carries though. Same thing for Chris Johnson. But all catch the ball. Freeman is a nice lottery ticket. I do NOT buy Rodgers as a threat to him. When SJax goes down they should go to him. Donald Brown will be good when matthews gets hurt.

WR Dez and Andre are studs. Sanders is a nice sleeper who now with Welker out hurt he may feast in that offense. Hartline is a solid pass catcher piling up those PPRs. Wheaton is a rookie flier. Golden Tate has huge upside.

TE Reed is solid for a 12 teamer Injury risk though

Dst Bucs- Not bad. Play matchups

K Bailey - Good enough K

you know your good players so I will focus on the potential problems. Is Eli really worth owning? He is going undrafted in a lot of leagues.

SD has Mathews and Woodhead ahead of Brown. I don't see the point in owning him. I don't know what to make of Chris Johnson. They have a triple headed monster in NY so I don't have any input on him. I like your top two backs.

I stayed far away from Andre Johnson this year. New offense that usually focuses on the TEs and Fitz as his QB really worry me. I think Sanders can have a breakout year. I actually like your depth there.

I think Reed can have a great year but two things prevent me from really going after him in drafts. One is that he had a couple of concussions last year. Two, RGIII. He has looked bad this offseason. I would feel much better about Reed if Cousins was the QB. I like Reed as a high end number 2 TE. I really don't like how he is your only TE.
yea it was between Eli and Alex Smith
Jints in Carolina : 8/29/2014 1:36 am : link
I am hoping Reed stays healthy also....I do love Andre Johnson, hell he caught passes from TJ Yates and Case Keenum. If he is below average I do like my depth at WR.

I think I have a team that is semi-decent. Will need to manage the waiver wire though.

Antonio Gates is available.

Who should I cut though? There is nobody I want to cut.

My bottom WR and RB is Rueben Randle and Devonta Freeman..

I figure by Week 6 there may be an injury or someone will be a total bust that I can cut. I just need a 1 week fill in for Graham.

Devonta Freeman is probably my first cut BUT it is a keeper league and Sjax is made of glass..
I would not cut Freeman
Jints in Carolina : 8/29/2014 2:06 am : link
I drafted him and Donald Brown for the sole reason that SJax and Ryan Matthews never stay healthy.
I would not pick up Gates
robbieballs2003 : 8/29/2014 2:21 am : link
His role is slowly getting diminished and Green is slowly taking over. Like I said, I like a guy like Kelce way better and he should still be available.
everyone keeps saying that in fantasy circles
YAJ2112 : 8/29/2014 9:25 am : link
but there is no indication from what the Chargers are actually doing on the field that Gates/Green will be doing anything different than last year.
i dislike that "ratemyfantasyteam" site
CruzShip52 : 8/29/2014 10:28 am : link
football guys or whatever, its soo wrong its not even funny

I have vereen in a PPR as a top 10 back, he was on pace for 136 targets last year out of the backfield he could get 90 passes if he stays healthy he will be a top 10 back, i put him as my flex player and that site said "we like vereen as your 4th or 5th running back he will add value on bye weeks" uhh o ok i drafted him in round 4 to be a starter

the site just goes by rankings it really doesnt analyze your team

So.. you have 2 of the top 3 RB's, a top 2 WR and the #1 TE.

Seems legit.

Keeper leagues are stupid.
