in week 1
You sit and wait and wait all week and all stupid summer for the season to get here and BANG! Next thing you know it's 28-0 and our offense is doing the usual 3 and out with 2 turnovers in the first quarter. It's ridiculous. I can see that stupid Lions crowd just roaring as we get blasted by the Lions on Monday Night Football in front of a national audience and then all the "tee hee" memes roll out and the joke is on us.
It's pathetic. Reese really should be accountable for his mistakes as a GM. I'll be at the Stewarts house this weekend. The dad is a Seahawks fan and one sister is a Giants fan and one sister is an Eagles fan. It's going to be a nightmare. I don't think we see the progression of this offense until week 4-6. What were they thinking installing a "west coast offense" with a QB like Eli Manning? I'm sorry, but this offense is just bad and I sometimes question the concrete mistakes this organization makes time after time again.
I know we won two Super Bowls and that's in the past but we are really missing our opportunities to win a 3rd Super Bowl with Eli Manning because to division is absolutely pathetic. I really think the Eagles are overrated. Their defense is pathetic along with Dallas, Washington...come on it's not like we could win a wildcard with teams missing the playoffs at 10-6 in the NFC East. We should be 12-4, 11-5 every year! Take a deep breath everybody. Come on now, inside.
Lions 35, Giants 10
Eli will throw two TD's. At least one defensive score
If Randle can get his act together a little, they should be able to pass for 200 and run for another 150 or so.
The game will probably be close, with the Giants winning 20-17.
I feel like the defense this year is an upgrade and prince kept Johnson in check last year.
Cromartie is a better CB than prince.
Giants go for 160 yards with 5.2 ypc on the ground.
Win 20-14
OLD SCHOOL BIG BLUE..
If we have to play Indy, SF, Seattle and Denver all in one week, it's going to be a long year!
Am I the only one who thinks this chick is Rich Houston's sister?

Everyone freaked out last year but yet you signed up 8-14. So which dupe is this. I bet he's as much of a girl as the bitch in a prison cell
Right at the top of your head.
How well or bad the Lions secondary does will be contingent on their back 7 pressure(s) on our work in progress OL..That, imv, will be the big story in our opener, more than their supposedly piss-poor secondary, imo
Point is, for any given game, I take nothing for granted or solace in, a purported weak this or weak that..I'd be delighted if it rang true as "advertised." Unfortunately the past has proven to be quite the teacher, so I remain guarded
and yea ok, this is "not the WCO at all"
and yes you're right it is a blend of WCO and some of Gilbride's old system but to say it's not a WCO is beyond stupid.
Don't think your irony goes unappreciated, unintentional though it may be.
Too good lookin'.
Maybe Rosemarie is Pickles?

I'll but that for a dollar!
Because it's not.
The Giants will rely much more on the run than the WCO does. The Giants will also probably take many more downfield shots than a WCO would.
To call this a WCO and leave it at that is too simplistic (Hi JJ!). It will be much more nuanced than that.
But, hey, keep up the good work. We'll be sure to pay our toll as we cross the bridge.
Uh, really? - ( New Window )
Guess what? We are better than last year.

You're too stupid for words.
That means, at least for early in the year:
1. Eli can't turn the ball over. He has to take what the defense gives him.
2. Run the ball well. If we run well, Eli's chances of being productive will go way, way up. We had no run game last year.
3. Defense. Our DB's are solid. However, can we rush the passer? Pressure must come from JPP, Kennard and Moore to name the few I think have the best potential.
4. Special Teams. We have to win the battle of field position. We have to hit our FG's and keep the Lions from breaking any returns.
If we win the turnover battle and execute our run game, run defense, specials, etc., we have a shot to win a close game. No way we blow out Detroit and yes they could blow us out but I don't see it against this defense.
Finally, what a shame Will Hill, Cooper Taylor and Odel Beckham were hurt/cut/injured. They would have made a huge difference with Hill starting over Brown. Oh well, lets go with who we have and win!
game if eli doesnt getted picked or fumble
You're a troll. You are talking in past tense as if the game is already lost. You're trying to stir shit with members of BBI. You're a troll and I've known it from one of your first posts about Jesse Armstead.
I think the D will be solid or better if Beason returns.
