Tanaka is experiencing general arm soreness. He will return to NY to do some strengthening exercises. No appointments scheduled with doctors
I'm pretty sure Joseph wasn't on the 40-man. He was released and resigned in the offseason, IIRC. If he was it was probably to clear room for someone on a 9/1 call-up.
Ellsbury hit the first ever HR off Loup by a lefty, according to Feinsand.
1) It is not his elbow, it is described as general arm soreness
2) I wish everyone would stop with the hysterics over him. You don't just scream get the surgery every time a guy has elbow pain. Plus, not all the surgeries for elbow pain are TJS.
3) This is really not a surprise. Even though the Yankees camp (or was it just the beat writers) were saying 1 more rehab start, Tanaka himself, through his interpreter, said he wasn't ready. He felt his arm was still not strong enough to pitch in the majors.
4) Back to #2, if he still only has a slight tear, TJS is not the prescribed course of treatment.
Love these comments...

Great job by Robertson.
