NFT: Advice needed, Girlfriend problem

Guy's, this is my first thread. But I really need some help. My girlfriend wants me to go with her to New York to donate my hard earned money to the Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Conference in New York. The perks of donation is that if I donate my girlfriend will put out much more, I'll receive a decoder ring, and even learn a secret handshake. Not to mention I'll be able to rub elbows with some great guys. However, I really don't want to go or donate for a couple reasons. The first reason is I'm from Arizona, and in Arizona the culture and people are beyond nice and civil. I've heard people in New York are Assholes and treat outsiders disrespectfully. Why would I want to donate to the rude assholes in New York?

Secondly, the people who run the conference, I'll call them the inner circle, they don't practice what they preach (being civil to one another). Some even think they are better then all the rest of us. Hell I've even heard one of them has a BDSM device in their basement. God damn freaks I tell ya.

What should I do?

I think I'll donate to these bunch of savages in the end because regardless of the topic I think these heathens always leave a smile on my face.

Not to mention I may get to blast my gf in the butt.

In all seriousness, as I said I've basically been lurking since 2008. I'd post on some medical topics, since that's the profession I'm in but otherwise I just lurk and read the Giant news and postings. The poster who started an account to post as to why he won't contribute to the site just got me fired up. There's no reason to do that. If you lurk and come here everyday then contribute. If you don't want to join a conversation due to what you perceive as hostility then don't post. You must like the site enough to continue to visit. It's like the people who hated Howard Stern but continued to listen every morning.

Long story short, if you are here everyday regardless if you hate or love the site contribute a buck or two. The poster, by posting why he wasn't going to contribute actually persuaded me to contribute.

Glad to finally have some fun with all of you before I go back to lurking. Go Big Blue!

I'm from NJ...right across the river from Central Park...could see Giants stadium from my high school. And now I live in AZ...people back east are often thought of as obnoxious by thin-skinned, whiners...back there if you can't handle truth and confidence which most see as arrogance then of course you're gonna be all butt hurt and scared. here in AZ, some people are cool, but usually they're not natives...and for the love of GOD would ya-could ya learn how to freakin' drive!!!!
