What are we at now? How many cuts left?
10 done, 12 to go
Thanks Bill, traveling and trying to keep track on my phone.
When Beckham gets healthy, he'll be returning punts. We also signed Demps because he's an experienced returner. No need to bring in anyone new at this stage of the game.
Sucks.
Injury settlement only makes sense. Neither has serious injury.
Holliday said he would practice this week. Manningham had minor calf injury.
The likely end for both of these players, especially Holliday, is an injury settlement. #nyg
Sucks.
Same :(
This. Really sorry about Holliday given how sorry our return game has been the last few years. Dare I say we will soon be treated to more of RR fair catching everything.
Vested vets (4+ yrs) don't go thru waivers. Right to IR then settlement. RT @RusselHenderso1: Why IR + not waived with an injury settlement?
On Mario Manningham and Trindon Holliday: both players are on short-term IR. Neither has a season-ending injury.

Did the rule change? I am confused...
Chance TE Kellen Davis is re-signed by the #Giants after Week 1, per source.
The Giants have also released OL Adam Gress.
I think he means the minor injury designation. It's temp in that they can play again for another team when the settlement is reached. But even then, it's a poor tweet.
Yeah, seems ridiculous
Rand Getlin's tweet on short-term IR makes no sense. I think he's trying to suggest IR, then injury settlement/cut.
Big Blue Interactive @BigBlueInteract 49s
Teams only have one short-term IR move and the Giants won't waste that on Manningham or Holliday.
Also some decent reserve OL emerging. I would be shocked in someone who can play tackle isn't claimed.

That also mean more cuts for us.
Good info, thanks!
Both Holiday and Manningham may be waiting on injury settlements. Can they play again this year after taking an injury settlement? It might be up to both of them to decide.
I'm hoping Washington can get in there and practice with Eli to get that timing down. Fast and tall could be a great help to Eli when he's in trouble. He's dominant fighting for the ball and can grab it at it's highest point. He will win most of those battles and draw a lot of flags.

The short term IR makes little sense for Schwartz if he is really 3-4 weeks away as TC said yesterday in his presser. Maybe Holliday to short term IR????
