Product of the Baylor system. He isn't an NFL back. Looked pretty bad this preseason, rarely breaks a tackle and doesn't have the vision between tackles.

what I read, Winston was pretty bad in Arizona in 2013.

It seems people are focusing on well-known names, which is often a mistake.

Find it hard to believe the Giant won't try to up grade in this area with these cuts...

Also, and I don't know of this was mentioned already, but Winston was available during free agency as well. But they went for Brown anyway. That pretty much speaks volumes on how they feel about Winston.

They're not real happy with their OL, especially reserves, in AZ. Not sure we want any of their OL cuts. Maybe a WR

Don't know if he has issues, but might be better than Parker at WR.

Hillis vs Josey as a pass blocker? Not even close. Same goes with short yardage.

Hillis is certainly replaceable...but Josey doesn't replace him on this roster. Not a shot.

Do you see anyone out there that could help the Giants?

From the dolphins would be a nice little pickup. RB who can catch, is a bit shifty, and can return kicks.

They've never said specifically what the suspension was. Rumor around campus - say my sources - was a DUI. But, that's rumor.

Still generally considered an excellent leader, and very good communicator. Saw a thing on BTN last night, a fellow LB said Max would text him at like 10 at night from the film room saying what they (Max and the teammate) needed to work on. Question is probably more size/speed than character.

Reisner at TE had a great training camp! Had three touchdowns in preseason! Only 25 years old.

I saw a fair amount of him in jacksonville last year. He's not much of anything. Not a big guy, not athletic. Just a non descript guy

Blazing speed. A gamebreaker. Was in a very tough competition for a spot in DC. We need more gamebreakers. Always fun to tke someone from a division rival like the Redskins.

I understand tackle Bykowski had a very good preseason; he HAS to be an upgrade over Brewer.

and Schwartz is going on the temporary IR, they could make it happen without giving up any of the three big RBs. Wilson woulda made this team if he wasn't a health risk. A real fast guy/playmaker type as a change of pace to the battering rams isn't the worst idea in the world.

Then Osgood is an interesting player

Led the preseason with 6.6 ypc and was second in rushing at 225 yards. He was the third fastest RB at the combine (4.43) and has explosive cutting ability. He can also catch the ball out the backfield which he did well in college and this preseason against the Pats where he had a 27 yd TD catch off of a screen.

His blocking would need work but there are creative ways to use a player with his ability. I also like his work ethic. He's doing this after recovering from a horrific knee injury in 2011. Some may have given up after what he went through but he persevered. Good story if you get the chance.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Schwartz is on Temp IR yet. If he does go on then Josey could be the 4th RB without anyone getting cut and once on he'll stay. He would immediately become the fastest RB on the team and he's a playmaker.

The Giants arent going to sign any of these guys, even if they are better than the players already on the roster, which isn't saying much.

You can bet we'll have to live with guys like Charles Brown driving us nuts on Sundays.

Who are these cuts that are better than what they have. The NFL lacks OL outside a very, very few teams.

Atl, Car, NO, TB, NY, Was, GB, Det, Chi, AZ, StL all have major questions on the OL and just in the NFC

The Eagles have questions on the right side, D. Free has looked awful for Dal

Brown as a b/u is that - a b/u.

Part of the reason there is more passing, and short passing is the poor nature of OL pass blocking

its not that chris, they fill totally different roles. Looks like josey is a scat /3rd down back and hillis is a plodder and someone you can grind to move the chains.

one of the 49er cuts - Snyder plays all 5 positions on the OLine and was a Money cut - he's an experienced veteran

good RB.. between the tackles and 3rd downs..

That's a whopping upgrade over Dallas Reynolds, and maybe others. The question is whether he has crossed the David Diehl event horizon, but that's less of a concern if he's still available Week 2, when he doesn't get a full-season guarantee.
