Finally, a team known for a traditional run-first philosophy adopted a West Coast-style offense, embracing the pass-happy era overtaking football nationwide.
I don't think the Giants are going to be "pass happy." With Jennings and Williams I think they will probably split the pass and run about 50-50. Jennings and Williams are both bigger backs and they'll wear the defense down.
Beginning at 12:00 noon, New York time, clubs may establish a practice squad of eight players by signing free agents who do not have an accrued season of free agency credit or who were on the 46-player active list for less than nine regular season games during each of any accrued seasons. A player cannot serve on the practice squad for more than three seasons. http://nflcommunications.com/nfl-calendar/ - ( New Window )
I mentioned that Wynn stood out (to me). From the comments linked, it sounds like Coach Coughlin loves him. I hope he grows into a solid player for us.
You mean that of the roughly 600 guys cut today, Sam....
A student in elementary school can ask better questions. WTF?
Serby fucking sucks. I could care less how big a Giants fan he is, his writing is awful and full of puns and gimmicky crap like starting every paragraph with the same stupid phrase or writing "bELIeve" over and over or whatever dumb trick he thinks makes his lousy work more readable.

Gmann11, You are correct IMO. The Giants will run at least half the time this year. Their running backs are far superior to what they had last year. I never thought the Giants were "passing happy" under Gilbride, but they were certainly more willing to pass under Gilbride than any previous Giants team, including the Fassel teams and the YA teams under Sherman. Lots of commentators mistakenly think the Giants of the last ten years were like the teams under Parcells and Reeves.
The people that write that a West Coast offense is pass happy
Will not be signing anyone, last few seasons we have had a horrible OLine and have done nothing at the trade deadline that I can remember. We are always over valuing our own players. To go into this season with this OLine after the last two seasons is as moronic a move as I have seen Reese make, and Coughlin does not get off the hook here either, he is asked, and obviously he is OK with what we have, or we would be making moves. I obviously have very little faith in this team as it is constructed. I always have faith in Tom's motivating talent, but I am not so sure if that is going to be enough to overcome the deficiencies in talent.

WTF is right. Was that an interview for TMZ?
