Going to my first game -9/14!

Go Giants : 8/30/2014 5:49 pm
I'll be bringing the kids as well. What time would you suggest getting to the stadium for a 1 pm start?

Other than the game itself are there any things we must do, must eat, etc at the stadium? Anything to surely avoid?
Yeah,

avoid eating in the stadium. Get there really early and tailgate. Get the kids so full that they won't want a $100 hot dog during the game.

I'm only slightly exaggerating the price of the hot dog.
Hmmm

If they lose, you are banned from Giants games for the rest of your life.

I usually get there at 9:45 and head in at 12:25. Also pee as much as you can as soon as you get there so you don't have to wait 20 minutes to use the port a potties when the lot gets full of people who are full of beer. Enjoy!
If I brought my young kids

1. Get there early

2. Eat well BEFORE you get in

3. I'm sure you won't be drinking because your kids are with you, but that will also save the strain on your bladder

4. Take a portable TV & football. It's always fun to keep up with pre-game shows and playing catch in the parking lot

5. Monitor BBI to see where everybody's parked and if someone has set up a tent. (Best time I ever had at a game was at Arizona, Nov, '08. BBI just about took over the lot (even had the Phoenix TV stations come over and do interviews with the fans)

6. Don't be in a hurry to leave after the game. absorb the whole experience, win or lose.
