your running backs are very difficult
CruzShip52 : 8/31/2014 9:28 am : link
lynch depending on what round you got him in (1 its terrible, 2 is OK) and jennings may be in a timeshare or not carry it goal line, i like joque bell as your best RB to be honest
Lynch in 2nd
nygiants16 : 8/31/2014 9:29 am : link
Took Dez first...Jennings in the 4th and I don't think he is going to lose goal line carries or be in much of a time share at all

Staff cam Kap Wilson and ryan were all off the board when I picked Foles didn't take him until 9th
Foles in the 9th is a freaking steal
BigBlueShock : 8/31/2014 10:36 am : link
I get it. He plays for the Eagles. But he is an absolute fantasy stud in that offense. The team in my league that picked him up off the waiver wire was terrible. Once he picked Foles up, he proceeded to make the Super Bowl, where he lost. There is really no other reason to think that Foles won't be a top fantasy QB again this year, unless it's because he plays for the Eagles. People forget that he didn't even play the entire season last year. If you take his stats and extend them over an entire season, he would have been up there with Peyton last year, in terms of fantasy production
Oh
BigBlueShock : 8/31/2014 10:37 am : link
And screw Matt Ryan. He single hand idly cost me a chance at the championship last year. As soon as Julio went down, Ryan was completely useless. He can kiss my ass.
Lynch in rd 2 is good value,
kmed : 8/31/2014 11:17 am : link
Allen in rd 3 is good value. Who went rd 4? Jennings or Foles? Either one, I'd say that's bad value.
Tough to know who you took in rd's 4 on,
kmed : 8/31/2014 11:21 am : link
but I would assume you took Foles pretty early. Personally, once you missed out on the top QB's, I'd wait til much later to take a QB. There are so many 3rd tier QB's this year that the value is insane. Guys like Rivers and Newton are going in rd 10, Brady and Romo in 7 and 8.
Drafted a team last night that kmed would like... 12 team, non PPR
aimrocky : 8/31/2014 11:22 am : link
QB - Rodgers
RB - Forte, Gore
WR - Cruz, Torrey Smith

RB - SJax, Ingram, Carlos Hyde
WR - Hartline, Harry Douglas
TE - Gates

should have read on first. Foles in the 9th is incredible value. Who the hell were your 5th, 6th and 7th picks?
Lynch in the 1st is not "terrible,"

I took Reed 5th a little bit of a reach was going to go Cruz but passed

Wright in the 6th really like kendall Wright as a 3rd we

Bell in the 7th

Jennings wasn't getting to the 5th and he was the best rb on the board at 4
I do not like the Reed and Wright picks at all.
kmed : 8/31/2014 11:50 am : link
I'd be interested to know the 3 or 4 TE's drafted after Reed and what round and the 5 WR's taken after Wright.
I get that you grab a guy you really want,
kmed : 8/31/2014 11:55 am : link
but Reed's ADP is late 7th. I personally think that's way too early for him, I understand he's talented, but he's still at best, the 5th TE in my rankings. Wright's ADP is rd 8. I'd say there's a good chance you could have gotten both guys a rd later if not 2 rounds later than when you did. I guess Jennings in rd 4 isn't really bad value, but he's going in the 5th round of most drafts I see. If you really like him, I guess it's not terrible to grab him in the 4th. I think he can certainly end up as a valuable pick.

In my league Jennings wasn't going in the 5th after I made the pick the 2 guys after me both said they were going jennings
LIke I said,
kmed : 8/31/2014 12:01 pm : link
I can't really get on you for the Jennings pick. I like him this year. Now Reed and Wright are a different story. There were probably some really, really good players still available with your 5th pick and you reached for a TE that's likely to finish somewhere "in the pack" with the 2nd level TE's. In round 6 you passed on some really good players to reach for a WR that you really liked. I'd be really surprised if he wouldn't have been available with your next pick. I also don't understand why you would like him so much to have to have him.

I like your team a lot. Was Sanders off the board when you took Wright?

As a WR3, a guy who caught over 90 balls for over 1,000 yards isn't anything I'd be worried about. You have to figure he gets into the endzone more than 2 times this year. That was the only thing that hurt his value. If he had scored a few more times last year, people would have been all over him as a WR2 this year.

Yeah sanders was gone in 4th
Not sure what Im going to do
KArchibald : 8/31/2014 12:39 pm : link
I have the 5th pick in my draft. 12 teams. PPR. 6 points all TDs.

Assuming McCoy, Peterson, Charles, and Forte go top 4, where do I go with the 5th.

I'm really leaning towards Manning.... Do I pass on C. Johnson and Lacy for QB?
5th is the one pick I really don't want.
arcarsenal : 8/31/2014 12:51 pm : link
There's really no one I love there. I feel like it's about 1-2 picks early for Peyton, Calvin.. probably 2-3 picks too early for Graham.. I think 5 is also too early for Lacy. Don't like Lynch there either. It's just the one spot where I feel like you're not really able to get full value this year. I mean, I could turn out to be totally wrong it just feels that way.
Wright in the 6th isn't bad at all
AnotherGiantsFan : 8/31/2014 12:51 pm : link
He's more of a 7th round guy, but you took J Bell in the 7th who's more of a 6th round guy; so it evens out.

I like Reed and drafted him as well, but you made a major reach in the 5th round. I wouldn't mind it as much if he wasn't such an injury concern.

I'm not the hugest Foles fan, but him in the 9th round is absurd. That OL is fantastic and LeSean/Sproles should be able to help him out with YAC screens.

Emmanuel Sanders in the 4th round is absolute craziness.
basically

I am in a pickle, have a keeper league and everyone keeps 2 players. Standard scoring, I pick fourth and the players that are available are: Jamal Charles, McCoy, Lynch, Brees, Rodgers, Demaryius Thomas, Julio Jones, AJ Green, Dez Bryant, Demarco Murray, Andre Ellington and jimmy graham. I am assuming Lynch, McCoy and Charles will be gone by pick 4.. Who would you guys pick at 4?

5th pick is an absolute sweet spot
AnotherGiantsFan : 8/31/2014 1:14 pm : link
You're getting one of the top 5 RBs and still get a modest 2nd round pick in return.

I'm on the Lacy bandwagon. He looked awesome last year, and he has looked awesome this preseason. He's going to be a stud.
Yeah, Sanders in the 4th is nuts.
arcarsenal : 8/31/2014 1:14 pm : link
He went in the 8th in the league I drafted for last week.

Giants11 : 8/31/2014 1:49 pm : link
with your first round pick you want a sure thing. You won't win your league in the 1st rd. but you can put a big dent in your chances if you muff it. In other words don't sweat #5. take the guy you feel you can depend on the most. #'s fluctuate each way so whichever rb/wr you get there it can go either way. Peyton is not the worst pick there. I'd probably go Megatron. there's not much more of a sure thing if he stays healthy than that.
Ok Just drafted in my 10 team league
dep026 : 8/31/2014 1:52 pm : link
.25 PPR, 5 points per TD pass, 2nd overall pick. Round I took the players in parentheses.

QB - Ryan (8), Rivers (10)
RB - McCoy (1), Foster (3), Jennings (5th), Williams (9), Freeman (14th)
WR - A. Brown (2), Patterson (4), V. Davis (6), K. Wright (7), Watkins (11), Cameron (13)
D - Rams (12)
K - Gould (15)

We dont start a TE, thats why both of them are listed as WRs. I was pissed because Julio went the pick before Brown and Cobb went the pick before Patterson. Pretty happy with my squad though.
Just did a 12 team draft last night
slackerracker : 8/31/2014 2:38 pm : link
I picked 9th, league has keepers but we can't keep anyone that gets drafted rounds 1 or 2 so some top players are still there but defnitely a dropoff after the top 4 rb wise and top 3 wr wise.

.5 ppr, 25 yard per pass point, 10 yards/point, 4point passing td

QB: Wilson (8th rd)
HB: Bernard (6th/keeper) Mathews (3rd round(not much else there) P. THomas, Pierce, ridley (10th round)
WR: Thomas (1st) V. Jackson(2nd) T. Smith (4th) M. Floyd (9th keeper) J. Hunter, M. Austin
TE: Clay and Miller
K: Tucker
Def: NE

Overall wasn't a bad draft for me, league projections have me 3rd overall.

My HBs aren't amazing but can be a solid group, and if Ridley takes over that number 1 spot and doesn't fumble that was great value imo.

WRs are fairly strong
TE is fairly weak but wasn't much available for me
QB: I'll probably pick up someone else off the waiver wire but for now just going with wilson, as he was ranked in the top 10 last year and he's looking to be even better if the preseason coutns for anything.
Thoughts on this trade...

You'll probably start Rivers over Ryan more often than not this year. I think Rivers will be the better FFQB. And just better in general.

I'm just not high on Ryan.. he's not a guy I'm looking to draft this year unless I get cornered into it.
Team 1
BigBlueShock : 8/31/2014 3:02 pm : link
Team 1 gets the better RB AND the better WR. I know BBI is all on the Victor Cruz bandwagon, cause we are all Giants fans, but Cobb is the safer bet. Cruz and Eli have not been on the same page.

It's a 12 team league that starts 3-WR

QB: Cutler, RGIII
RB: Peterson, Spiller, Tate, Ingram
WR: Marshall, A.Brown, Hilton, Hopkins, Stills
TE: Olsen
PK: Gould
DEF: 49ers

Thanks ahead of time.

I disagree Ryan is in for a huge year with healthy Julio
I think he'll have a better year than last year..
arcarsenal : 8/31/2014 5:03 pm : link
But I still don't know how good that OL is going to be and no one knows if Julio will be healthy all year or not. His best year (2012), he was the 7th best QB in my league.. which is good. But I think realistically, he'll be right on the bubble of the top 10 this year. Which means.. if you're in a 10 team league and he's the guy you start every week, the majority of the teams in the league will probably have someone slightly/decently better.
Dropping Josh Gordon or Kenny Stills for Travis Kelce
Sly Guy : 8/31/2014 5:24 pm : link
Guys, I'm in a quandary.

I have Gronk as my only TE in a 12 team, ESPN standard league. My current WRs/TE are as follows:

WR: Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown, Hakeem Nicks, R. Randle, Kenny Stills and Josh Gordon.

Should I wait to hear about an injunction for Gordon and drop Stills or should I give up on Gordon?
I drafted Ryan because my back was against the wall
AnotherGiantsFan : 8/31/2014 5:29 pm : link
And I'm not exactly thrilled about it, but he's growing on me more and more. The OL has a cause for alarm me, but they've made improvements.

They had that awful Center Konz who got replaced by Hawley midway through the season who proved to be a pretty good reliable Center. They signed the guard Jon Asamaoh(sp?) who should be an upgrade. Not to mention they drafted a day one blindside protector in Jake Matthews.

The silver lining in last years WR debacle is that it gave Harry Douglas a lot of reps and he looked pretty good. Now Harry Douglas is the 3rd WR and they have a fully healthy Roddy and Julio. It's not a lock they'll stay healthy, but right now things are looking good for that offense.

Lets also not forget about the fact that ATL defense is absolutely brutal. Matt Ryan is going to be slinging it all day to keep ATL in the game.
Gordon is done

Need a QB
giantsfan44ab : 8/31/2014 6:22 pm : link
My Eagles-crazed friend in my 10 team league gave me megaton and AJ green for McCoy and nicks. Now I have a glut of receivers with Julio Jones, Cruz and Welker as well. I've been trying to package Cruz and panthers D with one of my QBs (Big Ben, Matt Ryan, and Dalton) for a better QB but no takers so far. What QB should I go after?
I wish my league was that stupid
AnotherGiantsFan : 8/31/2014 6:41 pm : link
I guess try trading a Giants crazed fan Cruz and Welker for Aaron Rodgers.
