As an aside, I think it's more likely that iCloud was hacked and not each of the individual phones themselves. That has some major implications for Apple and should have a lasting effect (although it probably won't) on how much people trust third parties with their data. It's one thing to snap photos in the moment, it's another to store them in someone else's cloud and trust them implicitly. Going with any brand that "makes things easier for you" at the cost of control and ownership is something people don't think about enough. Hopefully they do now.

If there is a god he himself checked it those pics, nodded in approval, and said "Yup, thatthat I was going for. To be honest I only looked at the Upton and Lawrence pics, I don't even know who any of those other women are.
On one hand, I understand how completely messed up and creepy this all was when it comes to an invasion of privacy. But when I heard it was out there, I definitely wanted to check it out. If you're an attractive celebrity, the chance someone is going to see them is much much higher. You'd think anyone who has used a computer recently would know this.
If you don't want people to see naked pictures of you...don't take those naked pictures or allow them to be taken. Failing that, don't put them on a machine easily reachable over the network or on a device that will upload them to such a machine.

There really is no turning back from that once that is leaked.
If you're an attractive celebrity, the chance someone is going to see them is much much higher. You'd think anyone who has used a computer recently would know this.
If you don't want people to see naked pictures of you...don't take those naked pictures or allow them to be taken. Failing that, don't put them on a machine easily reachable over the network or on a device that will upload them to such a machine.
This whole episode has made me wonder if "IT security consultant to the stars" wouldn't be a great way to make truckloads of cash while performing a valuable service.
I also don't understand this "Short skirt, she was asking for it" equation to a woman taking nude pictures which resulted in them getting leaked. "You might possibly get raped if you walk around a sketchy neighborhood naked" seems like a more fit analogy. It shouldn't happen, but it can. So be careful.
While on the topic. Can we stop pretending like women don't dress a certain way to show off what they have? It's an epidemic.

And as for the notion that your click does no additional harm maybe it doesn't, but we don't accept the idea that there is no additional victimization with each mouseclick when it comes to child pornography (and no, I'm not suggesting that this is anywhere near the same stratosphere as a moral issue) because the wider the dissemination, the worse it is for the person photographed.
If this doesn't raise at least SOME qualms in you, I don't know what to tell you.

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't really know what to think. It gives me some pause, as I'm sure my gf would be mortified if say, her parents or clients saw some of the awesome media we've taken...but then again, she's not an actress or model- so that's really a different animal altogether- their privacy as a public figure is much different that ours- which is more than likely why you don't see reactions on this thread that you would expect to see if it was just random hot chicks who's angry ex boyfriends "leaked" photos/videos.
IIRC, years ago there were pics taken by paparazzi of Hillary Duff giving her bf a hummer after he proposed (taken from the street). I don't recall anyone feeling sorry for her or bemoaning the invasion of her privacy.
Either way, if you're proud of your body and exploits, well...fuck it.
Being that most of these chicks make money on their sex appeal, they should be getting a cut of any profits, tho. If you're good at something, you never do it for free.

It's completely understandable if you stop expecting to see any logic or morality behind it, and view it simply as an opportunity for Nitro to troll and berate BBI for being old (apparently).
