I try not to get hyped up about a player that hasn't preformed with the 1st team but hell, it worked out great for Cruz. I was really disappointed that he didn't get his chance to play with the first team during pre-season. I would really love to see him working with Eli more to gain that trust.
So far I really like this kid. I know there are some route running issues but I love how he catches the ball at it's highest point. Seems very strong with contested balls too. Both very important for someone with his height.
Beckham needs to work his way on to the field. Eventually, he will have to beat out Reuben or Washington IMHO. I think Reuben will be the one he beats out. I thought I read one of the knocks on Reuben was his poor effort. He needs someone pushing him.
Here's the story on Washington as pre-season MVP. I didn't see it posted but wouldn't be surprised if I missed it.

Probably. I think there is a lot of love here lately for Nassib too. Might make for an interesting thread but I'll let someone else start it. Maybe different pre-season awards for rookies, defense, offense.
Here's a quick list of names I would mention:
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Zack Bowman
Rashad Jennings
Andre Williams
Corey Washington
Marcus Harris
Slots..very fast and break tackles...
parker is a good runner too..w 80 and 82
being doubled they may be gettle more catches

I thought one of the knocks on Washington was that he was not a great ST player. Maybe it's because we hardly ever see KO returns anymore. Good to know though, thanks.
After Cruz blew up in the pre-season he was stashed on IR for that year (FYI ... for a hamstring I think). He was truly given his shot the following year and he struggled at first (i.e. some dropped passes and maybe a fumble or two). Clearly some rookie mistakes but the upside was certainly worth it.
I feel the same could be true for Washington. I think it's a good year to get him out there. Yes he will make some mistakes but do the pros outweigh the cons? Only one way to find out and now is the best time.
