And sign Stephen Hill to be the zone stretching deep threat that Beckhams was supposed to represent or get used to trying to run against 9 in the box !
Give Reese a do over and let him pick Cordy Glenn and Martin instead of Wilson and Beckham. We would have a great OL and the same skill players we have now.
Think we'll see Beckham late in the year unfortunately.
I hope so..Could be ENTIRELY different situation, but when I think hammy with a WR, I think Miles Austin..No matter how long he was put on the shelf, he almost always managed to re-tweak, shortly thereafter
There was a thread this weekend that made it seem like they brought ODB out for a show and he hurt himself during that practice.
Comments?
He was for the most part on the side during the whole practice. When they went to 11 on 11 he was sitting out for about half the reps. He finally came in and on his only rep caught a crossing route. Turned upfield and at the end of the play came up lame. Wasn't touched. Wasn't running full speed. Just went to slow down and took a little hop step and limped off. Sat on the side on one knee for the rest of practice. He definitely aggravated the injury. In Coughlins defense he did not go to off to the trainers or bring any attention to himself so that may very well be why they are stating there was no "setback"
Another first round pick stuck in the weeds. Sad thing is he was a flash when he got his Hans on the ball at LSU. Nothing against Beckham but I really thought they should have gone offensive line or tightend. How much of a contribution will Beckham make if any at all this year. You have to wonder if there isn't a black cloud hanging over the Giants and first round draft picks.
Begins to sound like the Giants may never be able to rely on this guy -- this season or ever. The comments about the continuing nature (that is, recurrence) of hamstring injuries to WRs are worrisome. Tell me that this is nonsense, please.

Eff Beckham? Eff a guy that gets hurt playing for your team? Fuck you.

Yes. Makes perfect sense. Rookie hurts his hamstring and therefore we will never be able to rely on him. Ever.
I recall reading here when he practiced for couple
days they had him running punts...
he should have been 100% and if he heals
let someone else play st's..
I was really looking forward to Wilson having a big year and I wanted to see how talented he really was. Now he's gone for good.
Then Beckham gets injured enough to keep him out of camp & regular season games. If you look at our WR corps you can now see why Reese decided to go WR with the #12 pick.
Without Beckham, the offense has to hope one of these guys can step up. Maybe Washington?
Tom Coughlin just went on rant telling media to back off Beckham story. May be weeks before he can play #giants
Proof what I've been writing about TC and Hanlon was true. I guess the writers today bit the bullet and banded together to bug TC and Hanlon about their guy whose played zero preseason, zero training camp, but is confident were going to be the best offense in the league. While he misses the first 6 games.
Joe Morris remembers the conversation between the trainer and coach Bill Parcells. Bill goes, I need him back in the game. And Ronnie just goes, No, he goes into the game when I say he does and when the doc says he does, Mr. Morris recounted, still in awe. Now, you gotta have a set of stones to tell Bill Parcells that.

If only.
RE: Mrvax..good point . I'm guessing though Beckham is due back
how good ODB will be. I do know that this year may be a wash for him though. If TC said 2-3 weeks, it may easily be 4-6 since hammies are such an unknown injury. IMO, if he is 99.9% healthy when the bye comes around, I would prefer just to IR him because he isnt in playing shape, he doesnt know the offense, his timing is most likely off.
Not there is anything wrong with a red shirt year for him, but as days go on, my anticipation of him playing this year dwindles.

Coughlin also said he went to Beckham recently and said "lets not have another setback." So that means there was a #setback?

My GUESS would be that TC feels he came back too soon last time

This hamstring injury began on June 3rd, so its been 3 months and now we learn he will likely be out a 4th month.
Not out of line to wonder whether he will be able to make it thru an NFL game this season even if he did somehow get on the field.
There is no one on temp IR until tomorrow. Schwartz may be close enough to keep him on the active list. If so, they could temp IR Beckham.

Pure bullshit.

Some of you guys really suck.
Yes. Makes perfect sense. Rookie hurts his hamstring and therefore we will never be able to rely on him. Ever.
Jesus Christ on a cracker.
Play with a groin or a hamstring, and then come back and call him a China Doll, She, or Becky. Putzes.
He's so far behind.

grimble had hammy for 8 weeks too...are they
getting proper treatment

Just short IR him and let him get 100%.
Hence, any setback (or bringing a player back too early) is the sole fault of the medical staff.
Because they fear TC and Hanlon.
Well played, maestro.
Generally speaking most NE teams have the best medical professionals.

reports are Schwartz will be back within a month temp ir would be dumb if that's the case
