Bear country is likely code for Russia (the great Russian bear). He's either covert behind enemy lines, or is a prisoner in a Siberian gulag. Regardless, he's got a lot of pent-up aggression that he's finally been able to get out in four polarizing posts today. Perhaps the best recent showing of moxie...and it's not even close.
Yes, that's me. I switched to "dibc" long before the "hibernation" so I don't know why everyone is so confused. There was some point where Eric switched servers and made everyone register again and I decided I was tired of the longer name. "Chicken Little"? I don't even get that. You mean, as in, "the sky is falling, the team will be terrible"? If you'll recall, I was here during a lot of the lean years arguing that the Giants were not a disaster and that success was around the corner with a few changes. Which the team pretty much made. And it was great. I'm certainly not here to knock the team. There was plenty of chance to do that last year if that's what I wanted. Quite the reverse, I don't think we're as bad as people say. Too much OL-bashing, just need some guys who can get open and catch the ball. Not the conventional wisdom here, but not Giant-bashing either.
As for motivation - do I really need a motivation for a few football posts? Trolling? Jeepers. Trolls "sow discord" by posting comments that are "inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic" with the intent of provoking "an emotional reponse". As I said in the last post, that's about it for me for the year, and I wanted to see what people thought about those issues before the season started. You would think people would be wondering more about those who show up only when we make the playoffs. If saying that I really like Robinson's potential (so does Jerry Reese) or that I really doubt Randle, or that I really miss that grass field provokes an emotional response and a bunch of other silly comments - that's not really on me. They are all totally football thoughts and opinions, so the trolling lies elsewhere, I think....
Anyway, more to the point at this infrequent moment when I drop in - best wishes to you and yours, both of you. Hope everyone is healthy and all is well. Hello to Tony in Ninerland if you are out there. If anyone remembers "defender" or "mwm" and is still in touch with them, I would be interested to know about it.

I meant trolling as in looking to elicit a large number of responses, I always thought you were pretty balanced, but more skewed toward criticism of ownership and management - my apologies if my recollection is incorrect.
Hope all is well in your world as well. Sadly, I haven't seen nor heard from TINL - it is my hope that the joys of family and fatherhood keep him away!
