in ELI's Giant career. Said at the time it is only precautionary and has done it since College. Maybe a type of security blanket? With his record of playing in games I would not harp or make a big deal of it now. But critics will find something to criticize.
At least I wasn't. I was just pointing out that I am pretty sure he wasn't wearing two weeks ago and now he is. Just hoping he is not injured which would suck.
Maybe with those shorter drops he's putting more pressure Â
read accorsi's review of him, there is a tidbit about it in there..
Quote:
Wears left knee brace… During pregame warmup, didn't look like he had a rocket arm… As game progressed, I saw excellent arm strength under pressure and the ability to get velocity on the ball on most throws. Good deep ball range. Good touch. Good vision and poise.
i believe i read it in accorsi's book that he sprained his MCL in college and they made him wear it.
or maybe he borked it at some point during the season, wouldn't be the first time the giants hid injuries from the public
It's a neoprine sleeve, which is really nothing to note. In college and his first 2 seasons he wore an actual brace on the same left knee. He hasn't worn one since.

You may be onto something. Ankle surgery? Yeah right... Was probably an ACL.
I hope so.

Why is it back? Wonder if it has anything to do with his piss poor preseason numbers.

He might want to invest in a suit of armor.
