"We haven’t had news to report on HBO’s The Wire in a long, long time but this tidbit caught our ear. HBO will be rebroadcasting one of its iconic series: The Wire in never-before-broadcast HD glory! The marathon will begin weeknights at 8PM starting on September 4th. You’ll find the episodes on HBO Signature, a channel most, if not all HBO subscribers should have access to." "IMPORTANT: We’re classifying this as a rumor for now since HBO has not made this official and the HBO Schedule does not reflect the video’s claims. We’ll check in with HBO after the holiday weekend to confirm this. The original source is this man claiming to have seen this on HBO’s air:"
"So go watch The Wire on HBO Signature this month. It’s a good time to watch it for the first time if you missed it in 2002 (which all but a few million loyalists did). Give it a watch and report back here when you’re inevitably converted.
UPDATE: While The Wire still does not show up on HBO’s official schedule we did find this on TVGuide.com:"
First, they said in the first sentence it was a 'rumor.' Â
strange that I didn't research beyond a professionally made video that was linked by a website that's focus is HBO and HBO news? Their twitter feed has 19,100 followers, this isn't some guy off the street.
I can get you 20k twitter followers for a small fee...just sayin Â
I thought they did not film The Wire in HD and that's why it's always been in SD like Oz.
If there is an HD version it has got to be some sort of technological processing of the original footage. Otherwise they'd have released an hd version by now.
I haven't watched my annual Wire marathon, so if this is true, this is fantastic.
Inexpensive animation and sound bites from The Wire. Yep, that's how HBO does it.
And, really, when people start going to the time and effort to fake major productions like that, what hope has Michael Bay??
And believing that video only required you to leap over the very first graph in the highly unofficial site (and it's massive 18K followers!!!!) in your own link.

happy you get a boner regarding all things involving me. Everyone needs a hobby. I hope you aren't this much of a tool in person or follow around people in real life looking to bust their balls. That would be sad.
yourself at the center of anyone's world fits right in with most of your threads. Breathlessly posted, poorly thought out and imagining yourself as having something more interesting to say than is supported by reality. You don't like having your shit blown up? Spend two minutes with Google. Either checking facts or at least coming up with more clever insults.
you consistently go after me and make the same "TMZ" joke over and over. I get it, enough already you are a cornball and honestly not very funny. If this ends up being just a rumor then I apologize to those who got their hopes up. You still consistently are up my ass and a fucking dickhead. Good day sir.
you consistently have such an issue with me... why even click? Why respond? Because you enjoy putting me down. Go fuck yourself, seriously. I usually ignore your shit but fuck off and leave me alone.
I will post something as soon as I get this fish hook Â
I never saw it but I clearly do not have time to watch an entire marathon.
Will it be remastered HD on HBO Go?

Or you could have also checked the Guide on your cable provider. And also seen nothing about this.
