And what is the scoring setup for the QB (6 points vs. 4 points)?
At that position, I think trying to get an elite RB is out (and the RB's will remain pretty even until your 30th pick), so look to see how many elite WR's are available. You can also end up with probably the top 3 QB with your 11th pick (if you go WR with your 10th).
1/2 point ppr -- start 2 rb and 3 WR -- I was able to get lynch at 10 and AJ green next... I was thrilled to get lynch there and still get the elite WR along with. I would have taken lynch earlier. Lynch was top 5 and basically was about equal with the elite WR scoring in my league. Taking him there was a no brainer..
That's my thinking, too, unless a sure-thing RB slips. Whether or not to take Jimmy Graham is also a question, because the top TE's will all be gone by the time my 30th pick rolls around.

Milton, look at what players will be left around 30 based on the ADP. Most of the time it is very deep at WR there. I'm not saying to reach for a RB or anything at 10/11 but all the top RBs are gone by 30 and there really isn't any RB worth drafting there since the value is not there. I would seriously consider a guy like Ball at 10 or 11 but I know people don't like the "risk" associated with him. You can get Hillman with one of your last picks of the draft to guarantee you get a Denver back and you will be glad you did. I'd do something like Ball/Dez at 10/11 and you can probably still get a WR like Cobb around 30 depending on the site you use.
understood why certain leagues need to change up the scoring with things like "5 points for a passing TD", I don't see what the advantage/what added fun there is?

Probably a compromise between those who wanted 4 points and those who wanted 6 points. My preference is 4 points.
I blew it. I wound up getting Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Graham with my first two picks, but I made a stupid mistake later in the draft when I didn't realize that the Yahoo draft board of available players was scrolled down and I didn't know that there were an additional twenty players available at the top of the draft board. I wound up taking RB Jeremy Hill and WR Mike Evans with my 70th and 71st picks!
In both of my drafts. I got him in both leagues around the 7th round of so. Will be great for a keeper that late in the format we use(lose the next round up following year).
Personally I think this is a bad year to pick a RB early
if you're picking later than fifth in the first round. I got Rashad Jennings in the fourth and Shane Vereen in the sixth (10-team ppr league, picking 8th), and I honestly don't see much of a difference between either of them and Montee Ball or Giovanni Bernard or Andre Ellington, or even Eddy Lacy. Instead I went for Jimmy Graham in the first, and then Demarius Thomas fell to me in the second. WRs are much more dependable talent in this year's NFL, IMO. I'm predicting that at least half of the top six RBs will not perform to their ADP this year, and beyond McCoy and Charles I have no idea who will.

There is a HUGE difference between Jennings/Vereen and those other guys you mentioned. Vereen that late is great value and I really like Jennings this year but there is a significant drop off from the backs mentioned above.
I think Ball is going to be a fantasy monster this year.
A HUGE difference? Between Jennings and Bernard, for instance? I owned Bernard last season, and he's overrated. He was billed as a guy who was going to steadily take on a bigger role in the offense and be the main guy by midseason, but it never really happened, and this season it looks like he'll be in an RBBC with Jeremy Hill. He's a good player, but not worth a second round pick when Jennings and Vereen are available in the fourth. Monte Ball looks to be the main guy in Denver, and he's going late in the first round in most drafts, but again, is he really that much of a sure thing to outperform Jennings by leaps and bounds? I doubt it. There will probably be as many as a half dozen RBs that are considered second-tier at the position that will end up in the top ten this season. Meanwhile, you can basically bet the house on Demarius Thomas getting 80 catches, 1200 yards and a dozen TDs (as a floor, not a ceiling), which puts him solidly ahead of the second tier of WRs. All I'm saying is that the value at WR in the first and second rounds is much more dependable than the value at RB.
..and is going to get a TON of touches. So yes, there's a good chance he will be a fair amount better than Jennings and will probably catch a lot more passes.
I like Jennings as a RB2 a ton this year and think he'll be very productive here. But I think our passing offense is going to be problematic and I think teams are going to start stacking the box to shut RJ and Williams down.
No team on the planet is going to be able to stack the box against Denver. Moreno was a top 5 RB in that offense last year and a lot of people weren't even drafting him until late because they thought Hillman or Ball were going to be the guy there.
If Ball does what Moreno did last year.. which he absolutely can.. he should be taken in the 1st round.
my advice..sit tight and let the dtaft come to you. Pick QB late-even the last should get Cutler or Romo.
I got M.Ball with my first, then C.Johnson with my 1st pick of #2.
Next J.Nelson still (#3)there, and A. Morris (#4)
Really ...someone will reach for QB and leave a pile of WR and good rBb late.
Get J.Hunter or C.Patterson (#9 or later.. a lot of potential great WR available late..get RB early
Good luck,

AJ Green
Demaryius Thomas
Dez Bryant
Brandon Marshall
Dree Brees
