taking whatever train you can to 30th Street Station in Philly and then take NJ Transit's AC Line
It takes forever to get from trenton to 30th street. The train to phila leaves 2 minutes before the train from NY arrives. Simply ridiculous. I don't understand why it isn't a single seat ride especially if the NJT trains dead head to Phila to wait for the trturn trips.
ok how about buses? im just trying to avoid driving
from all over NYC, some run by Coach or pricate companies, some run by Casinos.
The train is more comfortable, but as stated, isn't direct, you have to change trains, etc and takes almost 3 hours from NYC. You can also leave from Newark or Metropark to shave some time off. Metropark has decent parking options.
best option isn't a great one, it's a bus from the port authority. Greyhound runs the most often and its like $45 or so for a round trip. For the back end of the trip, your ticket is good for any return ride within 3 days of your ride down to AC. FYI, for any return trip, especially onces between 1-4am fri-sat, make sure you get to the bus early because it often fills up.
takes 3 hours, but there is track work this weekend, so you have to do a bus.
In light of that, I would say you have to take NJ Transit bus 319, which takes 2.5 hours from Newark. There is one that leaves at 942 and arrives at 1215. You will have to take a cab to Borgata, there is no bus that will drop you at Borgata.

there are others that give you $20 worth of chips, etc. and you pay $40 the bus.
