Draft my 10 team league last night...I had pick 3 1 ppr
1 qb 2 rb 2 wr 1 te 1 felx(wr rb te) 1 k 1 def
QB Newton, Rivers
RB Mccoy, Bell, Terrence West, Fred Jackson, Christin Michael
WR Julio Jones, Vincent Jackson, Kendall Wright, Torrey Smith, Anquan Boldin
TE Julius Thomas, Rob Gronk
K Phil Dawson
Def Chiefs, Browns
otherwise, I'd trade one for a RB1 or even a WR1.
and your team would be better.
And why two D's, did you have to draft two D's?
I am not considering J. Graham. Taking a TE at no. 6 just seems wrong to me.
yeah i had to draft 2 kickers and 2 defenses...i dropped my 2nd kicker already...
Key player in my draft was Gronk with the 42nd pick. It was the best against-the-ADP pick of my early rounds since he's going around 30 most places, I guess the other teams were just a little scared off by his injuries. He puts up a big year, I should be in fantastic position. If he gets hurt, well then I'm fucked. But I haven't had a great TE in a long time and his ceiling was just too high to pass up that late.
Julio Jones + Reggie Bush OR Cordarelle Patterson + Marshawn Lynch? Which Rd 2/3 duo would you rather have?
nygiants... I think you have a team with a really high ceiling but also some injury risks. Cam is a big one, his rushing totals might do down this year to protect himself from injuries. If Cam has a big year, you should be looking good. Julio Jones and Gronk are also injury risks on your team, but again if both stay healthy you should be looking good. I love the decision to with Julius Thomas and Gronkowski, I didn't have the chance in a 14 team league but it's something I was thinking about doing. There's so much potential trade value there later in the season.
I will probably end up releasing him but it was a flyer pick....it was the last pick in the draft and i figured why not...

Yeah i took Julio after the huge run on Wrs in the 2nd round he was the last of my top tier guys so i took him in the 2nd...
I wa hoping Antonio brown would get to me in the 3rd but he was taken 1 spot before my pick...
Yeah i couldnt pass on thomas and Gronk especially since i can play 1 in my flex position...i got thomas in the 4th and Gronk in the 5th was to good to pass up...
Peyton and Forte were the first 2 picks so i got Mccoy
Rodgers and Brees both went first round so the big run on wrs didnt start until the 2nd round so i was lucky to get Julio...
Bell fell to me in the 3rd would of probably went antonio brown if he fell to me in the 3rd
Julius and Gronk were both sitting there in the 4th and 5th so i couldnt pass them up..
then somehow got vincent jackson in the 6th...
The league is ful of guys that get QB happy and take Qbs way to early...

And with Cam i know he is injury risk thats why i took Rivers in the 10th
Bush will have higher value in PPR, but Bell is going to be the lead guy on the ground in Detroit, the goal-line back, and is also a good pass-catcher in his own right. Julio will have a great season also, but I just think the dropoff from Lynch to Bush is greater than from Julio to Patterson.
i wish i was in your league
i wish i was in your league
the guys in my league get QB happy...i dnt know why but it happens every year and they are not idiots either...
Everyone in the league was concerned with his injury history when i took him everyone was like ho wlong is he going to last...i washappy to take him..

Agreed, that's the way I went. I'm hoping Patterson thrives under Norv this year.
Julio Jones + Reggie Bush OR Cordarelle Patterson + Marshawn Lynch? Which Rd 2/3 duo would you rather have?
Thats a good question....i would rather have Julio than Patterson even with all the hype and i would rathe rhave lynch than Bush...thats tough...
I think Bell is going to steal a lot of points from Bush with red zone carries and them splitting the work load...
I would probably go Patterson and Lynch but thats tough...
QB Rodgers, Romo
RB McCoy, Morris, Ball, Pierce, Richardson
WR Cobb, Crabtree, V Jax, Harvin Macklin Becky.
TE J. reed
K Seattle
D cinn
Care to elaborate, because I don't think that's easy at all.
I am hoping Kelvin Benjamin really breaks out to help Cam out...Rivers should still have a good year with under year under his belt in the new offense and Ladarius Green having an even bigger role in the offense...
I love my depth at Wr...get vincent Jackson in the 6th felt like such a steal to me, i had a 3rd round grade on him...
With Thomas and Gronk i can play both and i know eventually i am going to get some trade offers for one of them...
I know i am going to hate having Wright on th ebench every week becaus ehe is a PPR monster but it is a good problem to have i guess
I drafted my 12 team PPR last night, any thoughts are appreciated (QB/WR/WR/RB/FLEX/TE starters):
QB: Kaepernick, Alex Smith
RB: Forte, Vereen, Joique Bell
WR: Jordy, Cruz, Michael Floyd, Welker, Justin Hunter
TE: Ertz, Richard Richards
D/ST: Arizona, NYG
K: Phil Dawson
I think you go Kaepernik even with you having Calvin...its tough to sit Stafford since i am sure he was your 4th or 5th round pick but I think Kaepernik will shred that cowboys defense in the air and on the ground..
Now I'm considering Peyton as well.
Goddamnit.

If its PPR your RBs will carry your team both are studs in ppr leagues...
have to hope Cruz and Floyd both have good years and welker can stay healthy...
Ertz has been this years sexy pick got to hope he unseats Celek in the passing game...Foles stil loves passing to Celek...
Now I'm considering Peyton as well.
Goddamnit.
Arc is it PPR? 6 or 4 points per throwing tds?
Any of the top 4 picks I'd go one of the RB's. I just can't get crazy about Lacy at 5. Peyton will probably be the highest scoring player in the league.
Is it crazy to take him 5th? I feel like it's not and I'm strongly considering it now.
assuming its ppr i love reggie bush this year, as long as he is healthy he will continue to put up huge numbers with receptions, i really just dont like lynch at all this year not sure what it is but i feel a down year is coming for him, even if he was leaps and bounds ahead of bush id still do the trade because you are getting julio
Patterson may thrive but I'd rather Jobes by a big margin. Lynch is a beast but his vale drops in any sort of PPR, and he doesn't put up monster yardage.
Like I said, health keeps it close but that's my only slight reservation.

I dont think its crazy to take Peyton 5...Peyton went 1 in my 10 team league last night...
i dont think Lacy should even be in the thought process...
Its between Calvin and Peyton...here is what you should be thinking about who do you think the guys after you will be taking based on what they have done in years past and do you think if you do take Peyton a Rb or a Wr will fall to you in the 2nd?
me personally i would go Calvin then go either one of Rodgers or Brees if they fall or a top wr if one falls or a RB if one falls...
In my 12 team league i was at 7 and Peyton was sitting there i passed went with Dez and Lynch fell to me because everyone panicked when there was a run on Wrs...i ended up with Foles as my QB...
its realy how you feel the others will draft...
I dont think you can go wrong though with Calvin or Peyton...I think Lacy would be a mistake..

I guess my issue there is that I see no reason to be down on Lynch. He's on the right side of 30, was a monster in fantasy last year (#4 overall), and will not split carries with anyone. Seattle will run the ball a ton this year and Lynch is going to see 25+ touches a game and 30+ receptions to boot. There's really no reason to expect a decline from him.
Bush, will see probably 30-35 more receptions and 100 less touches on the ground than Lynch, plus he will see limited goal-line work.
The question becomes how much better do you think Julio Jones is than Cordarelle patterson and is the difference enough to make up for the difference between Bush and Lynch
I feel like if I take him at 5, at least one or 2 guys will panic and take Brees and/or Rodgers before my next pick (10 team league) which makes me feel like I may be able to get Ball in the 2nd. If I could get Brown in the 3rd I think that would be an awesome way to start. I'd have the top QB and the very top Tier 2 players at both WR and RB.
If I take Calvin, I'd be torn.. because if I took Brees or Rodgers in the 2nd, I'd be left with those 3rd rd RB's whom I'm not crazy about. Then if I wait, I could wind up with a Jennings as my RB1 which is... meh. I just don't want to get caught with nothing I really like at RB.

I'm not saying I'm opposed to this strategy, but consider that Peyton plays against the NFC West and AFC East this year. He (and his team) looked awful in the SB, and the Pats added Revis and Browner specifically to stop the Broncos. and one of their out of division games is with the Bengals who have a good D, obviously better with Atkins back.
Peyton might be the highest point scorer again, but I don't see him with another 55 TD's or making it look as easy as last year. I think he is closer to the pack or I can even see someone like Brees or Rodgers neck and neck with him.
Last year I think he was 100 points higher than Brees in my league - that's significant. Enough to make me take him at 5 if he were available.
wait it out, get your position studs and then get a cutler/staff/romo/big ben/brady later on once your team is stacked
if qb are 6 pt tds then id take a qb but most leagues are 3-4 pt tds
Oh i definitely got lucky thats why i couldnt wait to make the Gronk pick...
Yeah i got newton in the 8th and Rivers in the 10th...i took Rivers because of NEwtons injry history and i am sure there are going to be weeks i start Rivers instead of Newton depending on matchups which is fine with me

Because there's a pretty huge difference between starting Peyton every week and starting some of the other guys. I do like some of the other QB's.. but...
What I really want is to scoop Ball in the 2nd since I'm almost certainly passing on Lacy.
Wishful thinking but if I could get Calvin, Ball, Brown, Luck, Jennings with my first 5 picks, I'd be pretty psyched.
The question becomes how much better do you think Julio Jones is than Cordarelle patterson and is the difference enough to make up for the difference between Bush and Lynch
Admittedly, I am very high on Patterson. He looked great at the end of last season and I think Norv will transform him. I guess its just a matter of opinion, but I don't think that drop-off between the two WRs is so big.

Lynch over Bush every day of the week in fantasy...Lynch wil get so many more touches than Bush plus red zone carries...even with a lesser workload...

Right my point exactly its all the persons preference...
I definitely got lucky on some picks i will admit that...better lucky than good right?
