I'd recommend investigating it. People really, really like Lacy and see a large fall off after him at RB.

Its not that i draft with idiots...its just alot of people went QB early because its 6 points per passing touchdown and players fell to me...

Thats not bad for a 14 team league...got to hope Bush can get touches out of the back field...Jennings should get 85% of the work load...

Wr got to hope Patterson lives up to the hype...Hilton is a deep threat, Cooks has been get rave reviews with the saints and Boldin is always good for a couple huge games..

Maybe I should just freaking take Lacy myself.

wow, hope it's not a money league.
Well if you believe he's a top tier RB,
kmed : 9/2/2014 11:58 am : link
then why not? I don't believe he's a top tier fantasy RB so I didn't want him. In my league we can't trade picks, just draft slots and I was offered to move to the 7 and 8 spots, but it didn't make sense for me. I ended up getting Brees in rd 2 anyway which is what I would have wanted.
Yeah i cant see taking Lacy

He's borderline for me.

I almost have him in his own tier after the top 4 guys or in at the top of a 2nd tier with Lynch.

I don't think he's going to be right with McCoy, Charles, AP and Forte.

is quite large. Patterson is all potential at this point. He was a rookie who had a nice stretch at the end of the season and still has a weak QB situation. Julio Jones is a man child who's had a significant amount of success in the NFL and has a top QB throwing him the ball in a "air it out" offense.

Not to mention an All Pro WR on the other side of the field and an excellent receiving option in the slot as well. Jones won't be seeing much double coverage at all. I'll take him in a one-on-one matchup against most CB's.

but this seems like the Fantasy thread for today and I'm looking for some good insight on my draft.

My draft threw me completely off guard, because QBs were taken earlier than I expected.

Drafted 8th out of 10, expected to pick up Graham in the 1st and Brees or Rodgers in the 2nd. But the 3 top QBs were taken before I could nab him so I had to go D. Thomas in the 2nd. It kind of spiraled from there and I'm left with a team that I kind of like at times and then I'm not so crazy about other times I look at it.

QB- Kaepernick, Tannehill(I plan on dropping him and using this bench spot for waiver wire pickups during the season)

RB- Ellington, Sankey, Sproles, F. Jackson, Moreno

WR- D. Thomas, Cobb, Sammy Watkins, Welker, Terrance Williams

TE- Graham, Bennett

Defense- 49ers

K- Novac

I happen to think that both QBs will be serviceable for fantasy football purposes and your starting WRs are solid. You are going to have to pray that the report out of Miami that Moreno is the starter is correct because otherwise you are screwed on the RB front, at least until Sankey takes the job from Shonn Greene (and who knows if that will ever happen).

I love the ellington pick late 3d round hate Sankey as your 2nd RB...your Rbs are very weak...

Wrs are not terrible, Thomas is a great pick 2nd round he went 6th overall in my draft, Cobb is a good wr2 he gets the ball alot in space, Watkins is going to be a stud eventually i just dont know how quickly, Welker is an injury risk every time he steps on the field now, terrence Williams is a good pick and may have a good year with Bryant getting most of the attention...

Obviously Graham is a stud...

I just dont like Kaepernick, i know he was hurt last year but he didnt break out like i thought he would...h eis going to have to learn how to stand in the pocket and go through his progressions teams are not going to let him beat them with his legs...
I feel like I mailed it in this year.

I'll also have two open roster spots after week 1 where I'll grab another Kicker and somebody else. Maybe Jernigan or preseason MVP Corey Washington!

A lot of Detriot Lions. Which I don't mind too much, because I rather punt one game a year due to bye weeks and have as close to full power roster every other week.

I expect him to have every chance to win the starting gig and to get the majority of the touches this season, but it might take a few weeks and he will have to perform. He's a good bench RB with upside, IMO.

Really don't like your WR's after Calvin at all. Bush as a RB1 is no good, either.. nor are your RB's in general. Plus I don't like having a starting QB, RB and WR all from the same team. You def mailed this one in, man. Not a fan of your team at all. No offense.

that is a good team for 12-team and a lot of roster spots - especially if you have two open spots.

20 roster spots per team, waiver wire will be slim pickings. better hope your depth is good enough you don't need to rely on a pick up - you shouldn't though.

but the draft is only 50% of the equation. At this point, people ranking the draft is all based on value. At this point next week, value will mean nothing when we actually see how guys play and what guys roles are. There will be a handful of pickups throughout the season that can make a fantasy team. It's about finding those guys and getting them.

it's not that great either. my initial reaction was off.

there is a site (rate my team.com) or something and you plug iun your team, league settings, # of teams, etc. and it tells you your playoff likelihood.

It had my teams to a T the past couple years.

you said rip you apart. Your team needs a RB2 and possibly a QB. See if Devonta Freeeman is there, and maybe Kaepernick is used differently, but he went undreafted in my league.

I'd almost rather start Derek Carr.

I like the Terrence Williams pick, he is a sleeper this year.
That rate my team site is dumb.
kmed : 9/2/2014 12:31 pm : link
It's rating it according to those guys rankings which means nothing. One guy had my team as terrible, one guy had it as one of the best. I guess it's fun if you need validation, but it means nothing.
Kaepernick undrafted?

Yeah, I put no stock in the rate my team stuff because it's all based on projections and can't predict injuries. Nothing wrong with doing it to ballpark how well you drafted but in the end, it's probably not too accurate a barometer.

Billy and Joe both have completely different rankings which is why one thinks my team has a 90% at the playoffs and one has a 65% at the playoffs.

Also which Defense/ST should i go with Pitt or Hou? Pitt looks like an easy first half of the year. I drafted Hou but dropped them for Pitt already bc they play the Browns after Gordon suspended. But I feel like Houston can be one of those matchup proof elite fantasy Ds with Clowney and Watt.
