"Eli Manning has just got to stay committed to it," Gruden said. "He's got to continue to keep an open mind, and hopefully they get Odell Beckham [Jr.] back, because they just don't appear to have the firepower at wide receiver or at tight end that Giants teams have had in the past. And the offensive line is still a big question mark from a personnel standpoint, regardless of the system.
"So I'm more concerned with the personnel right now, the question marks that they have on the offensive side of the ball, than I am with the system." |
I'm hopeful that they put it together, and confident that TC will rally the team, but I have the same concerns as Gruden.
Yes, the D will keep us in the game.
This is it.
Except everyone has fuckin' said it already
still not 100% physically and gunshy....

Kiwi said the D will carry O....and we have running

He is announcing the upcoming Giants game
Should he not talk about the team?
I take no offense to what Gruden said. That being said, it was preseason. We could all be in for a big surprise come Monday night.
Very few people follow the team as closely as we here do
I think a lot of people here forget that

of course he should talk about the teams and the game but why grab the low hanging fruit. There is so much more to this game and to this team and even to the offense than what everyone keep harping on.
Rice says offense will click with new system - eventually - ( New Window )
Gruden is as positive and even handed as an analyst/commentator gets. He's never seen a QB he doesnt like.
and as usual he is right on the money with his analysis.
Much more interesting to analyze what the Giants need/could do to make it work. Of course that would require creative thought.
