Sometimes the best prospects aren't signed to the Practice Squad

Sure, some of the players are prospects that the Giants want to hang onto, but others are versatile JAGs who both the offense and defense can practice against. That's why you may see some mediocre offensive and defensive linemen signed and some developable skill position players not signed.

If Grimble was healthy, he might have been signed instead of Cunningham.
anyone named Jerome

Not just jelly beans...magic jelly beans!
Serves me right for trying to make a pun on Cunningham & 'Happy Days'

But, I'm persistent.

I'm glad we got a TE named Cunningham, because it signifies that our TEs have jumped the shark.

He runs well and catches the ball. Obviously very green. Surprised it took this long on him.
They probably looked around for a few days
Red Dog : 9/2/2014 10:01 pm : link
and concluded that Cunningham was a better prospect than any other TE they could sign to the PS, so they brought him back.

So Chuck just disappears. As a matter of fact....
Crispino : 9/3/2014 11:26 am : link
two Chucks just disappear. First one just replaced by a totally different Chuck. Then, totally excised. No explanation. No funeral. No nothing. We're just not supposed to notice that either Chuck was just erased from the household. As if!

There were two Chucks? I don't remember there being two, especially since he wasn't around very long to begin with.

Chuck was played by Gavin O'Herlihy in nine episodes, and Randloph Roberts in two, all in the first season.
