this year, I will forever leave the Tom Brady bandwagon and just concede that Peyton is better and the GOAT. It would be amazing if he followed up his 2013 with another epic season, especially if he actually wins it all this year.
Andrew Luck is such a beast. Going to be fun watching him develop this year. That's a run first offense but it seems like they have stronger WR talent than RB talent, so maybe opening it up for Luck this year would be wise.
to determine. Without getting into "clutch", Montana's ability to move outside of the pocket and make great throws is a skill that Peyton doesn't have and it's a big one. It's why you could argue that Rodgers is a more dangerous QB than Peyton right now. But Peyton is just such a beast. Year after year he is in the MVP discussion.
The playoff record is tough to overlook. How can Peyton be the best ever if his teams come up small so often in the big games? It's a valid point and keeps Peyton from being considered "football Jordan".
But in terms of the regular season, he's the GOAT without much debate imo.
The league is so offensively favored. The refs call everything for the offense. Could you imagine marino, Montana, kelly, elway, or other greats playing in today's nfl?

Yeah, how do you compare Ken Stabler to any elite QB today? Totally different game, different styles of play. Scoring started getting crazy in the mid to late 90's and FF has driven it up and up with rule changes favoring passing and so forth.
they start flagging the Seahawks and Niners more, then it's not more enforced.
49ers were called for a ton of questionable penalties today. I want to see the amount called in Peyton games.
Every major rule change has favored something that went against Peyton and Brady. Cant dive at knees, cant hit head in any way, strictly enforce illegal contact because Seattle was too good.
Denver has so many guys you don't want to leave 1 on 1 so it's difficult to send much pressure and he gets the ball out so fast anyway. You're kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Seattle is one of the only teams physical enough defensively to man up with them and have success.
as you did with the Warner/Rams teams. They had lots of weapons. The Giants finally beat those bastids by whacking the receivers & Faulk as hard as possible on every play.

Can't play that kind of game anymore. You'd get flagged up and down the field. A lot has changed in the past decade+.

Another thing Peyton cried about when Ty Law ate him continuously in the playoffs.
Denver is easily the class of the AFC, but they'll probably get handled again against an NFC team in the SB
This why Stan shows up on these threads - he's still butthurt his boy was outclassed AGAIN in the playoffs last year, so he's trying to get excited about Peyton beating up an awful Colts defense at home.
Wtf, even Harrison now making excuses for Blowmo but you beat me to it. "Romo looks at his defense and they're so bad it makes him throw interceptions" That's the best one yet.

No, I'm 7 and a half but I'll be 8 I a few months.

The amazing thing is the Dallas defense didn't lose that game. The Dallas offense did. For all that was said about that defense, they didn't shit the bed.

You may be right. Dallas allowed 201 passing yards and 127 rushing. 49ers allowed 127 rushing also and 255 net passing.
Because Bill Polian went sobbing to the rules committee after the 2004 AFC championship game because the Colts couldn't overcome the Patriot defense, year after year.
Hey, look, another weakass PI call! Yes, that's Roger Goodell's NFL!

I hope jim harbaugh and the 49ers fans were watching that last play where lucks forward progress was stopped and play blown dead before he could hand the ball off to bradshaw so they can stop crying about the refs blowing the whistle when ahmad bradshaws forward progress was stopped right before he was stripped of the ball in the nfc championship 2 years ago.
and pretty soon he's going to get most of the snaps in the backfield with Luck
Dont count on that. For one, they gave up a 1st round pick for Richardson. They will give him every opportunity they can to prove giving that pick up for him was worth it. Secondly, Bradshaw is a warrior but, he has way too much of an injury history for them to trust him as their every down back.
The Colts red zone play calling has left a lot to be desired
But there's pretty much no chance the Colts will get 16 games out of him. I think he's better than Richardson, but when (not if) Bradshaw gets hurt, the Colts will just need Richardson anyway.
The Giants did the right thing letting Bradshaw move on. I believe Jennings can give the Giants more this season than Bradshaw could.
RE: RE: AB would still be the best RB on the Giants
You may be rich but you should have never opened the roof for the best player in the history of your franchise. Andrew Luck is a great get but as a recovering alcoholic, if you're still doing drugs, you're not recovering.
But without your personal welfare taken into account, you can't afford a driver for $200,000 a year to keep the heat off you? Call me, I'll hang out.
has been targeted about ten times and I haven't seen do anything to make a fuss over.
I'd like to see Nicks back after seeing the 2014 version of Randle and after not seeing Beckham, but I think I'd like to see Bradshaw more. That guy is all heart. This seventh round pick outplayed former first rounder Richardson.
I wouldn't say brutal. I thought he played as well as possible being under such duress on every snap-- especially since they couldn't get the run game going at all.
I bet they talk about Manning playing his old team more.

I hated the son-of-bitch and was glad two of the hardest hits he ever took was from the Giants, but I can't see how Peyton is ahead of Joe Montana.
But that's just my opinion.

If it was based on regular season then Romo would be in the conversation as well
amen.
Few are more loyal than TC and I'd venture few are quicker to turn their back on a player who dials it in

So do we get the pick?
...he's got to be on the roster past Game 4 for the pick to come into play.
You need TDs, not field position.
I though the same thing. Thomas was mugged there.
....Huh?
And they gave him away for NOTHING.
Idiots.
And yet he is still allowed to post.
And yet he is still allowed to post.
Just ignore him. Most people finally are. #ignorestan
(There. He won't be back now.)
How is that not bannable, when he's only here to fan the flames?
Did luck bang both your mom and sister or do you just love blowing Rg3
Or ask him how his boy RG3 is making out
(There. He won't be back now.)

Luck.

Pretty sure Tiger Woods did that.
Rodgers was even proven pedestrian when he lost Baluga on the O-line. He also had bad throws on a couple of screens.
This is not football people.
Get use to it people.
Yours Truly,
The Jacksonville Jaguars

Ha!
What's the new rule?
Will Denver punt this half?
Quote:
anything to get him back to the SB so he can choke.

Rephrase... the more enforced rule.
Its kind of boring watching the Broncos during the regular season. Like somebody else playing Madden...

Nauseating.
I saw him earlier lined up on the left side. Been looking for #14 but he hasn't done anything.
27 points right now. Damn...
I got him in the 4th...

It's dumbfounding how you STILL have no idea how the salary cap works.

Gives him some hope in his dreary life...
OK, so he threw a terrible end zone pick inside the 10 because he was worried about his bad defense? That makes sense.

You really believe that Greg?
I don't think so. Jennings looks very good. Williams too but Jennings is more complete.
I loathe it.

Sure, when he is actually on the field. He won't be able to stay in the lineup but, when he does, he's definitely better than Jennings and Williams.

Nope.
It's td, commerical, kickoff, vommerical, end of quarter, commercial.
All one week of the season? Well, not even a full week.

if it stands, but it looks like his knee was down

If that stood, we'd see that play as one of the best of the season all year
Except for that false start. ..hahaha

That's why they call it dope...
So was Chris Calloway....and no, I still haven't gotten over 1997
No he wont.
True, but last year that ball bounces, hits him in the facemask, and gets intercepted.
They'll pay!
This IN-COM-PLETE chant is lame.
Wow, Peyton now has beaten every Nfl team. Only Favre had done it.

You're right - it won't be Randle; it will be OBJ
I am a luck fan. But he was pretty brutal in the first half.
Rock, the 2011 Nicks, not what came thereafter
