I know with the Giants game on tonight, this might get lost in the shuffle. Figured I'd start it now.
Anyone getting this game tomorrow? I'm getting mine shipped from Amazon. So I'm expecting it sometime when I get off work tomorrow. Feel free to add your PSN / Xbox Gamertags. This is supposed to be the next biggest thing in the gaming industry. I hope it doesn't disappoint.
I'll be picking up my PS4 tomorrow so I'll update my PSN here in a little bit.
The next title I'm really excited for is Far Cry 4. I'll pick up assassins creed as well.
Picked up Madden a few weeks ago. It's a good game but I'm too old to play a season against the computer and I cant find a good online season to join.

I am pretty sure the game will be solid, based on the demo and the pedigree (Bungie is a developer I will actually trust, along with Naughty Dog). That said, its going to do huge numbers. If you look at Amazon right now, the top 5 spots are the PS4 version, the PS4 Destiny Bundle and the Xbox 360 game (with PSN Cards being #1 and #2).
Unfortunately I am stuck in Houston for the week on business, so I won't be playing until Friday afternoon the earliest.
So I'm on good ground with Bungie, but I don't really have any interest in Destiny. The Single player was basically a Borderlands clone. Multiplayer was okay but it just didnt feel so right to me on the Beta. Maybe I'll give it a try, but Madden is all I really play until Halo : MCC is out in November
Also, does anyone else feel like Destiny is the first real AAA game that's been released for next gen?

I think Watch Dogs was supposed to be that, but it turned out to be a bland entry that was forgotten a week after release.
Also, Destiny is multi-gen - so that is slightly holding it back from hitting that criteria. Bloodborne might be the first true next gen only AAA game. There really hasn't be a convincing reason to make the jump yet, especially if you can deal with lesser fidelity.
I've had the same thought as you. I initially was going to go in for the Ghost edition. It was out of stock so I preordered the Limited Edition. I'm actually quite happy because I think the only difference between the LE and Ghost is the Ghost replica.
Amazon keeps going in and out of stock on the PS4 LE. You may be able to snag one. I think people are flipping their Ghost edition on eBay for almost double what they paid for it.
Again - might be useless, but the price is right. Redeemable at the link below (requires you to sign up, but you can just create a "burner" account).
I'm stuck tracking my game ~2k miles away from home, so hope everyone else gets to enjoy it today.

What system do you play on? I'm getting my PS4 either today or tomorrow. I'll update my PSN.
Been waiting for a reason to make the jump...

Heh. Try being a player who doesn't enjoy shooters, sports games, or RTSes. Games that I can't take at my own pace stress me out more than they entertain me, and I'm increasingly finding that games that depend primarily on physical mastery of input devices just bore me.
I want to figure things out, make interesting decisions, see the consequences of those decisions, and maybe interact with well-written characters with as little time pressure and button mashing as possible. Luckily, we appear to be entering a renaissance of old-school RPGs and point-and-click adventure games.

Also, anyone own this on the PS4? I'm finally picking up my PS4 tonight, going to be on for a little later on.
I have a PS4 and am about to get into it.
If you have a PS4 and Destiny... Write your gamer tag down do we can join up online!

For Destiny?
It's solid. A little vague. This game is meant to be played with a full party of friends, even the campaign.
I agree, alone is not the best way to play this game.
I'm Blaan on PSN if anyone wants to add me. Just put BBI in the comments so I know. I should be on some this weekend.

I need to do some reading. I assumed this was just another Titanfall. MP only, always online. But if it's awesome and it will help get (what's left of the band) back together, hell yes. Truth is, my 360 still gets most of my time. Rocksmith, Free Games with Gold…the only thing I've played with any regularity on the 'bone has been FIFA. (Some Zen Pinball more recently.) So if there's something that finally shows off some next gen shit, plus I get my sheppers back…that would be appealing.
Even here, though, I'm not getting a sense any minds have been blown. I see people having fun, which is cool. But I'm not getting a sense of the gameplay. Nor getting the feeling of minds being all next-gen blown and shit.
Looks like it'll be a few days before impressions will really be rolling out.
I'm digging it. Just feels like you are apart of this new world.

If you've ever played an MMOrpg, think of that, with combat very much inspired by Halo.
You spend the first 20 levels playing story missions. Once you've finished the story, it's about finding high-quality gear up for Strike missions and group raids. You can also play player vs. player.
THAT SAID, what. Bungie did here is pretty unique. No matter what mode you're playing, the gameplay is incredibly tight and fun, and it really feels like the same game. The presentation and art style is fantastic and the game is rock-solid from a performance standpoint. Its got just enough loot/lore to satisfy the old-school RPG part of my mind, but it's really not an RPG in any but the most surface sense. I'm really enjoying it, but then again I've been dabbling -- played about 7 story missions (up to the start of the moon) a strike, about 10 competitive multiplayer matches, and about 2 hours of exploration/patrol mode. I really enjoyed all those modes, which is a pretty amazing accomplishment since I've never really found a shooter where I enjoyed both the multiplayer and single player experiences this much. That said, I doubt the story will have the payoff of a great game like Bioshock or Halo.
I'm playing on PS4 (wanted to get all the content) so hit me up at lawyergamer74 if you're on. I tend to play evenings EST but not tonight (traveling).
Bungie is usually pretty good at telling a story. It's disappointing how it was presented.

truly sucks. Its a fun game and I m enjoying it so far but man really feel they dropped the ball as far as story is concerned.

Yeah I mean the Halo series is a pretty good indication of that. Is it asking to much to give some back story to like why we're fighting these aliens and who the hell your character is?? And what is whole deal with the traveler?? IDK just left with a million questions left unanswered and totally unsatisfied.
