They tried their ass off, but just sucked in many and various ways.
blame everybody for the loss, at least on O. But even the D looked bad aside from run defense. Reese is the biggest problem IMO. Too many horrendous drafts, and he really butchered the OL. And it's really going to be bad if Pugh doesn't start to play better.

How about based on the last 3 years of failures. Non-competitive team in losses at Cincy, Baltimore, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Carolina....................

I said it in the first quarter - this Detroit team is playing really really well. This game has not been all about the Giants ineptness. I think the Lions are legitimate this year.
This team has been awful since Hurricane Sandy. They didn't just lose tonight. They looked like they belong in the NCAA, and after five terrible preseason games (for the 1s on offense). If people want to figure this season is probably going to be a shitty one, they are well within their rights.

If you think this is just one game, then you haven't watched the giants since the Steelers game in 2012. This is not one game.
Every single season is unique unto itself and if you don't get that you didn't watch either of the two Bowl runs. This is game one and not the defining moment of the season. We may well suck but we don't suck yet.
