This team has been awful since Hurricane Sandy. They didn't just lose tonight. They looked like they belong in the NCAA, and after five terrible preseason games (for the 1s on offense). If people want to figure this season is probably going to be a shitty one, they are well within their rights.
It's fair to be worried. Not fair to give up. Every experienced football fan knows how long the season is
that most of those wins at the end of the year were against shit teams and QBs. Playing against even mediocre NFL teams would probably have made us 4-12.
Everybody is just going to bullrush the hell out of our OL. Hassle Eli, shut down Cruz, and stop the run, and you win. It's an easy formula to devise and implement.
Every 3rd down he droops back into zone...Every single time he gets beat...it's ridiculous
When will we stop blaming everyone but Coughlin.
With what was arguably " The best secondary in the league" and an improved LB corps, we got 35 points hung on us on opening night. Start a thread abiut TC if you like, but your statement has shit to do with the thread, which is fewells culpability, unless you are meaning to imply it's TCs fault the D did fuckall tonight. I disagree. The D did not look prepared.Lions took the field and marched right down the field on us, twice. I don't wanna hear any shit how the D kept us in it, the D blew the game as soon as it started and that's the truth ,we were never really in it.
Maybe they'll stop drafting Syracuse guys like Pugh and Nassib

Right, it's not that difficult to see. Stop the run, force errors and run the ball down their throats.
is anyone shocked? shouldn't be after the preseason. this is the 2014
model that needs to evolve into a 2015 or 2016 model. It will be slow fora all the reasons you all have been screaming about. if it doesn't get better over the next 5 games then radical change maybe necessary. but be calm and see what evolution or devolution if you prefer occurs
why they didnt throw lateral more..
didnt throw to 88 or 82 being behind all game...
fewell needs to pressure qb ...
bad coaching....was really diappointed
with D
33 years old. So what do you do> You bring in an entirely new quick stuff offense that he's not going to feel comfortable in and one which requires a deft, slick, quick, finesse passer who moves around, plays with speed and quickness. Does it really make a lot of sense. And our WR are invisible. Two small guys and one who can't seem to get the play right.
If Eli QB's the Lions, does he make the first TD pass? no he is sacked. Does he throw the second TD pass? No he doesn't have the arm strength to throw across the field. Bottom line if he is on Detroit he might not win this game. Stafford won't throw two BS interceptions also!
If Tate was here it would be the same BS. Tripping over his feet, running wrong routes, etc. Save the talent excuse BS. Enough speech making time for development.
RE: Maybe they'll stop drafting Syracuse guys like Pugh and Nassib
four times, I repeat, FOUR TIMES that idiot rushed 3 guys on third and long, while dropping a DL into coverage - once Jenkins was standing in the middle of the field with a thumb up his ass watching a pass be completed 30 yards down field. All four times we were burned. Please get us a DC that will be aggressive on third and long, and not a delayed blitz from Beason from 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage. I just don't see how TC can watch those plays constantly be unsuccessful and continue to let them be run. They get the score to 27-14 with 11:30 left, get them in third and 7, and rush 3 while dropped Ayers JR into coverage. I simply cannot fathom the logic there. Look, most knew the OL and offense would take time, why we consistently continue to give up 3rd and longs is troubling - to my eyes it's squarely on the coaches.
how we continue to play the same 3rd and long defense and allow the main target to catch every pass. Otherwise, I think the QB is the only one with a real clue on offense and I feel badly for him because he takes the shit while everyone else fails.
But he called nothing tonight that said innovative...i donr expect much from him.....
I hear you, but it's his first game. I don't expect a genius either, but give him a couple of years and he may develop into a good one.hell, Giants tried a reverse tonight.he's willing to try shit, that's for sure. Over time he'll find what works and what doesnt with the personell he has.I guarantee he makes some major adjustments between this week and next week.
This was the babies first gameplan. he will Improve
Listen, every swinging dick from Archie to Simms to other QBs out there have said there is gonna be growing pains, give it some time, it's not just Eli frowing into this offense, it's an offense that is evolving as the OC himself sees what works, what doesn't, what tools he has to work with and what he doesn't
A commander is graded by his ability to make an acurarte assesment of his available means, what tools and resources he has, and then come up with an acheivable plan from there.
let's give Macaddo some time to make these adjustments and see if he has these basic talents before we pass any kind of judgements on him or his offense.Fact is with the state of the line we can't tell anything about his offense yet as he is unable to implement it other than in fragmented bits and pieces due to the O-lines failure to provide Eli with a platform to strike from.Until that happens we can't really tell if it works or not, and unfortunatel MacAdoos efforts this week will be devoted as much to how to field a viable O-line as it will be to cmoing up with a gameplan for Arizona. Ben's in a spot now, and we have to give him some time. we wont really know where this team is unti about week 6, but the one thing we do know is we have an urgent situation on the OL that takes precedence over everything else.Tha problem is Reese's fault, not Eli's or TC's or MacAdoos.Until it is resolved realistic evaluations can't be made on the rest of the offense.

with the Devil. Only logical explanation.
I have been saying this for a long time.....the deal with You-Know-Who, to win that last SB.....

Beckham should have been here.

I'd be shocked if 10 teams had a worse year than this Giants team. Literally stunned

Fewell - you have more talent than you've had in some time - this is the product you deliver?

on Sundays. This is going to be worse than last season. We will win enough to be out of the top 10 but never be in the hunt for the playoffs.

You may be right. Last year was sad and I cant see anything positive.
Let's see how it goes next week.
eli must be avoiding 82...saw
Him open few times...no Washington. .

Holy fuck. Holy fucking fuck. This one takes the cake. You stupid FUCK.
WE won't win games if we have to score
21+ points....doing 10 yard throws
I thought the end around was innovative & would have worked if Beatty could have contained his man.
