...and not bringing in any quality veteran WR to challenge Randle is on Reese. Even if Beckham hadn't gotten hurt, when's the last time a rookie WR has been an impact player for any team? Calvin Johnson?

Relying on a rookie WR with no experience with a WCO to take heat off of Cruz was just plain stupid.

Nicks had 700+ yards for the Giants as a rookie and one of the highest YPC averages in the league. I think most would be thrilled if Beckham had that kind of production.

has the fade to Washington as a positive cause we gave a rookie a shot. He'll learn from it. No harm either cause we scored.

Problem throwing the 3 jump balls at the 1. They had a huge height advantage compared to running into one of the best fronts in the NFL.

Wilson was an unfortunate whiff...who knows what could have been there....Randle, an early round pick has been disappointing.....ODB likely wont make an impact until later in the season, if at all

Cromartie didn't play poorly at all. No one can cover Calvin Johnson for 7-8 seconds. Also, what is the safety doing on that play??? Not his fault at all. He let up a couple slants and not much else. Perry Fewell is a joke. 3 man rush after D played well to get to 3rd and long and several times we rush 3 and almost every time we rush only 4. It's a joke if we don't finish in top 10 defensively with this personnel unit. Cromartie and Prince are one of the best tandems in the league, u can't ask them to cover a guy for 7 seconds!! Fewell has always been conservative on big downs and that is what Tuck and Rolle complained about in the past. Don't react, take it to them!! Having said that, the offense lost this game not the D

Agree totally. Saw several times where a LB was lined up on slot receiver. I never liked Fewell, he better fix it soon.

had Prince on Calvin Johnson tonight. He was the best player for the Giants on both sides of the ball.

Awful in pass coverage. Everyone gave him a pass because the int's but he is out of position a lot. Man I really miss Will Hill already.

that is a great question Bobby, and I wonder the same thing.Perry Futile? Jesus, that's gonna go right up there with Killdrive. Did you just make that up, cause that's gonna be an instant classic if he doesn't adjust, and adjust FAST.

After last year but ownership either is stupid or didn't have the balls to only fire Reese and not the coaching staff. Gilbride was the one who got cut but it was time for a new start. One game isn't a season but the OL has been putrid for 3 years. That Beatty makes close to 8 million says just how bad Reese's judgment is

No other team in the NFL over the last few years has this many breakdowns in coverage between the CBs and the safeties. Doesn't matter if the corner is Aaron Ross, TT, Prince or DRC, they still leave guys wide open. That's on the coordinator.

And this three-man rush shit has got to end. 3rd down and 10+, there's NO reason to be dropping Cullen Jenkins in coverage. CULLEN JENKINS.

And ask your selves where the talent is. I said it in the offseason, my biggest concern was lack of overall talent, and it is obvious.

season that isn't over by the middle of October. They need to win a few games early. I'm not optimistic though. The talent on offense just isn't there. Probably 8-8 at best.

am more critical of Manning. He was certainly running for his life, is behind a poor OL, and has few weapons. But he was responsible for both INTs, made other poor throws, and is totally immobile. Stafford made some moves in the pocket to avoid the rush that Manning can no longer do.

Hill, after losing Taylor I knew we would be dangerously thin and it showed last night. DRC had a bad game, hope he can turn it around. Perry Fewell needs to stop the zone. They play man for the first 2 downs, make it 3rd and long, then he goes zone and its an instant first down. I don't get the soft defense. PLay tough, play man, you have the personal for it. If the CB"S are the strength of this D, then let them play man.

- For those that have pointed that out, you are correct. That is a glaring omission on my part. The overall game plan going into the game was not what it should have been. This would have been something addressed in formal game review.

- Goal line series: As stated, this is just my opinion and I understand the thought process of going to the fade route versus a beat up and smaller secondary. But in my mind, when there is no choice but to score, go with what's easy. Pound it up the middle four times needing a yard. Had it been second and goal at the one, I wouldn't feel the same. But having four shots from the one yard line, I feel you have to run it. This is a scenario that could bar argued both for, and against.

- Cromartie: I did go back and forth on this one because, at the end of the day, it was Calvin Johnson he was facing. The reason I placed him as a DUD is the Giants paid him a lot of money to face receivers like that. Johnson simply dominated him from start to finish. Had Johnson been making unreal catches, I wouldn't blame Cromartie because there are some things Johnson does you can't defend. But last night, Cromartie was just out-matched.

- Randle: I left him off because I want to see if he was open or not. I need to watch the film to see if the WRs lack of production was because of Manning not having time, them not being open, or both.

To the dud list. Both stunk up the field also. Brown looks Sloowwww and Pugh looks nothing like a second year former first round pick.

to which the answer is going to be "they are just not good". Its hard to say the O-Line has been ignored considering 3 of the 5 starters are 1st or 2nd round picks. Seriously, I would love to know how Reese and his staff rates players and what kind of traits they look for in linemen. Call me silly, but I want my O-Line to be a bunch of nasty SOB's that just want to destroy you. Right now, I don't think there is one guy on the line who fits that description. Just my opinion, but that is the root cause of the problems with this team.

Secondarily, I have no idea how CJ was allowed to run so free last night. Seriously, why was he not bracketed with a safety and corner all night. If you want to beat me with Golden Tate or Brandon Pettigrew, then have at it. And for just once, can we see an all out blitz on 3rd and long and actually crush the pocket like every other team is somehow able to do to the Giants? The "best" secondary in the league should be able to cover for 1 second in that situation and at a minimum, make a tackle for a short gain.

I fully believe that this is a multi-year rebuilding process, but after last night, I seriously question if the players they have brought in thus far are the answer.

He's got no football speed. He's got Average at best hands and runs shitty routes when he's actually aware of the route he's supposed to run.

Jernigan isn't anything special but he's better than randle.

Its the players. They are only average with a few exceptions .

The defense sucked ass last night. Lets call a spade a spade.

He lacks football instincts. I'd love to have him as a KO returner though, and he could have become a weapon as a situational player.

We're seeing old problems and tendencies crop up again with PF's gameplans, zone calls and missed assignments, Stevie being flat out bad, etc.

The problems on offense are a flat out lack of talent. OL cohesion and a healthy OB should help, but that side of the ball is going to be a small margin for error alles jahr.

was to see our QB's "new" footwork. I know he was in shotgun most of the night, and our O-line was horrible. But it didn't take long for him to revert to old, bad mechanics Eli. Now many of you will say look at what's around him and give the guy a break. But the reality is, if the QB isn't buying fully into the new system, then why would you expect the other players to do the same? When things break down just do what you know instead of what you are taught? That's lack of execution. It rears it's ugly head again. Eli isn't totally to blame as this was a team effort to look this bad, but don't anybody dare say he wasn't a BIG part of the problem.

The defense was pretty stout. Several TFLs. Remember that this is Beason's first activity since last spring. It was encouraging to see our TE's making catches downfield.
