Just listened to TCs post game

Seems like he's already sick of it. One thing he said that makes me concerned. He sounded like he knows this is going to be a repeat of the Oline from last season. QB pressures and the Defenses inability to get them off the field on 3rd and longs .
tc - ( New Window )
Even he must be wondering why he didn't retire

after the Super Bowl win.
I really felt bad

for Tom. He doesn't deserve this.

They asked him about Mosely not playing. He said he did not practice, so he did not play. He also said, "you see what we have out there" implying the talent on the OL is....awful.

Thanks Jerry!
Do we really need TC to point out the OLine will be bad?

Seriously, it is and has been obvious all along.
Tom is making millions.

I'm Sure Somehow He'll Find A Way To Pull Through All Of This.
Remember Coughlin's been coaching football

since 1969. Yes, this new era sucks...but it's not like giving up coaching and retiring is an easy thing for him to do. It's all he knows
it was an awful

opener. Tough for the guy not to be wiped out. The o-line has to jell in order for the team to be competitive. Jerry & C. Brown were signed from teams who re-built their lines. What do you expect? I just hope the young guys & Walton stay healthy. They might jell. They can delude themselves at LOT for snother season then get serious about it in 15.
I was confused by his

comments that he thought the offense had addressed the turnover problem during the preseason.

He's a great coach, but he had to have seen the same offense we saw during the preseason.
That was a very un-Coughlin like press conference.

He definately didn't seem to have answers. Well, he had answers but... The truth hurts.
Britt I concur....

He seemed to be putting the onus of the problem on everybody else and that he had no idea why the game turned out the way it did. For me it seems through out his tenure and at varying times during a season, he 'loses' the team or there is a significant disconnect between the coaches and the players. When everything is clicking TC is the coach you want, but too often his teams have seemed lost or unmotivated or way under prepared.

Between personnel and game plan, I think it might be a good time for a 'regime change' at the end of the year.
would like to see crazy Coughlin

come out soon! And start kicking some coaches and players in the ass!! There is no place for mental errors and lack of physicality.
To paraphrase an old line

not going to call for a regime change

already after one game, let's not be ridiculous.

The plain simple fact is we needed to do a full turnover of the staff after last season, not just the offensive coordinator. I believed that then and stated as much.

But we didn't. So TC needs the support of everyone this season to get things moving in the right direction.

I do find it alarming though that it was odd that each time the camera caught TC on the sidelines, I did not see "fighting Tom" which normally I find ridiculous in its own right. But him just standing there is all the more alarming. His press conference was much more towards that resignation already which is hard to fathom after a full offseason and one game.
I do not see him as anything but aggrivated
BlueHurricane : 9/9/2014 9:58 am : link
Glad he is our coach. He will fight and claw until the end. Listen to him banging his hand from the 7th minute on. He wants to drill somebody. I think the team is in for an unpleasant week.
"This is the team we have"

Coughlin's answer to a question about the offensive line speaks volumes about the front office.

So ... I've been doing Chemistry since 1967 ... giving it up even as much as I enjoy it and retiring is quite an easy thing to do ... More time with my wife and not to mention 8 grandchildren ...

Agreed, that one spoke loud and clear.
