that they can't be as bad as they looked last night. Does anyone remember how the defense looked during the first two regular season games under Spags?
Despite big holes in this team's roster, there is some talent. The Defense played the run pretty well during most of the game, and there's definitely talent on that side of the ball. And while collectively, the OL looked like sh!t, I'm not ready to throw young players like Pugh and Richburg under the bus until I've seen a bit more. Problems abound, and this area SHOULD have always been a priority, but you can't draft an entire OL in one season.
I'm more concerned about how the offensive personnel fit the new offense. It looks like McAdoo wants the TE more involved, and I just don't see any NFL quality talent there. The RB's look OK, but the WR's need help. And if I had to pick a worse QB for this offense, or a worse offense for Eli, I'd be hard pressed to do it. But he's essentially good enough for what he is, and hard working enough, that I think he may pull through.

the offense is a major work in progress. we need to hope and pray the running game gets going. eli needs to cut out the sloppy throws and get on the same page with his receivers - that's his responsibility, and if the receivers are making mistakes, as a 10 year vet he needs to get in their face/work with them.
Well, first of all their website has him at 27.8 last night. And no, it's not a record, not even close. He was below 10 twice last season (and other times as well).

They don't even proofread their articles on the website, I see frequent misinformation and grammatical errors all the time, and its up to the comment section to point it out to whoever is sleeping at the wheel at editor to fix.
Take any information you get from ESPN with a grain of salt, but then again we all knew that.
And also, when there was a VERY slight glimmer of a chance that the game could still be won, when the Giants drew within 13 with a full 12 minutes left, the D just laid down and allowed a SEVEN MINUTE drive, resulting in a TD that absolutely ended the game.
