In turn, TC and Eli are bystanders in this GB like offense and they do not feel like they "own" this offense.
Francesser said it was weird for Mara to speak out after week one to keep the faith with Mcaddoo offense. He said it was atypical for Mara to speak out at this juncture of the season and indicates TC and Eli are separated from McAdoo and his offense
Francessor further said it is the lack of talent hurting the scheme and weak OL. He mention JD Walton hurt last two years and didn't relly play. RG is a big problem
I thought this was pretty much common knowledge
But I don't believe this crap he keeps saying about the OC being forced on TC
If that were the case, don't you think he'd unload the whole lot in one shot and let the GM pick his coach?
This is meaningless drivel by the sports pope.
Francessa is wrong?
Where's Antonio Pierce and his air horn when you need it?
Francessa is wrong?
Unpossible!
Mara might be hypnotized by Jerry Reese, but I would be surprised if he's involved in the hire.If he is,we are in deep doo doo.
I don't see TC as a guy, being that animated, while giving lip service.
Right.....
I think we saw at the end of last year that he's clearly the type that likes to interfere in that way. He threw the coaches under the bus needlessly in that press conference and defended the front office without any real evaluation.
Perhaps my biggest fear going forward is that he's growing into a meddling owner and that if there is regime change he's going to be calling the shots more than he should.
^^^^
If he happens by random chance to be right on this it is only because he pulled this golden nugget out of his ass, not because he has any actual knowledge on the situation.
(that's what the whole "go home and think about it/talk to Judy" stuff was)
We're bringing in a new offensive scheme - the exact opposite philosophical scheme you've committed your entire coaching career to. Are you in or out?
The crazy thing would be if Tom decided "out". Who the hell would be the Head Coach right now? Probably Perry Fewell.
He doesn't know the current offense we're running.
He isn't in charge of it.
The writing is on the wall for both him and Eli, IMO.
And you guys have gobbled it up!
Some posters can't wait for something negative(even if not true).
Bahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
Francessa hasn't had the pulse of the Giants since he got in a snit with Parcells, who stopped feeding him info after that
Yup, Schlitz'd!

Mara wants McAdoo as HC down the line. Gets Coughlin to stay one more year, take his last shot at another SB, and tutor McAdoo in the HC position. Next year finally unloads the incompetent Reese and brings in a new GM. I can live with that.
If that were the case, don't you think he'd unload the whole lot in one shot and let the GM pick his coach?
You unload them as the best replacement becomes avaulable. It may be they didn't think anyone that could do the job was available last offseason. Change for it's own sake is dumb. Change when you can upgrade, however....
Spags was only one and he was forced to...
why is fewell here? Where is Pope....
coaching sucks on this team
oline coach isnt great either
LOLbossman

He's never been the type to interfere in that way. The Giants are a very business like organization. He's not stepping on his coach's toes like this.

He has a right and a responsibility to speak out about the success of the team. That's not the same as dictating coordinators so your first paragraph is BS.
And as far as a real regime change that is his job and his job alone so your second paragraph is BS.
If Coughlin stubbornly continued to coach with a new guy calling plays who he didn't buy into then he's not as smart as many think he is and he would be doing a disservice to the entire organization.
I have to laugh. People call to talk to him and then they thank him for taking the call. Really? He should be thanking them. And then he responds what's up in such a manner like its a bother to have to converse with the chump who had the nerve to call and then have to talk to him.
So much heavy lifting. It must be a killer for him.
He's always said it was TCs offense.

His right, sure. Just like its Jerry Jones' right to pretend to be a real GM. His responsibility? Since when is it an owner's responsibility to publicly question the playing time of a particular player? That wasn't business like in addition to being poor evaluation.
If Mara wants Reese as his GM, then he should allow Reese to hire the HC and the HC to hire the assistants.
Perhaps Mara admires Jerry Jones. If so, the Giants will play like the Cowboys.
But Mara is always thinking about what happens next.
When the team made an aggressive push for offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo this past offseason — an unusual move for the typically insular Giants — some around the league thought this was the owner’s way of securing a successor to Coughlin.
"Coach in waiting," said one league source in a text to The Star-Ledger. "Some see him (McAdoo) as the next Andy Reid."
When asked if that was the dream scenario, Mara nodded.
"I think it’s certainly in the back of your mind (when making the decision), but I’d hate to anoint anyone before they’ve even called a play in a regular-season game," he said. "We also have some other coaches on this staff that I think are qualified. So I’ll say the real dream scenario would be to have several guys who make it a very tough decision for you."
which could have fueled some of this

You're kind of full of shit. Francessa speculated or floated this theory. He never said anything was definite.
Move along. Nothing to see here.
Looks like you're not bright enough to see this is another bullshit post by Rich Houston. No basis in fact. Nothing to back it up but you're willing to say shit about Mara because of it.
The problem with this post is that it assumes a whole bunch of things.
Like, you're implying that he's only got the job because of the name.
And, that he doesn't know what he's doing.
He's been in talent evaluation for a long time, and for as much as you want to make a big deal of the Giants' mistakes, they've also gotten a lot right.
Because Reese pulls the trigger on all the picks, and Ross weighs in heavily on every single prospect.
It's one thing to make draft decision based on bad scouting. it's another to make decisions where you ignore your scouts.
If we keep failing, rest assured we'll find out which is going on real quickly.
Stuburn? You spell it stuburn? You can barely string together a post, who cares what your opinion is?

This is so true, but his hubris is so god damn entertaining it actually makes him hilarious and such an impressive, never ending source of unintentional comedy that he literally has a cult following (see francessacon bar crawl)...
But I don't think we should right off the Giants just yet. The OL has to come together for them to have a successful season but that can sometimes happen more quickly than you would expect
Very impressive.
