He might have more talent on that team than the Giants have. Certainly on offense with the exception of Romo whose back may be ending his career.
And the Giants have much more talent on defense. Dallas' defense is a joke. I love how everybody cherry picks what other teams have done well and ignores their utter failures.
And dep, you have been WAY too rough on Pugh. He was very good last year. Started off a bit slow, but really was very good as the year went on. I'm not sure how you've decided to pick him out of the crowd, but you have a hard on for him for some reason.
and they have no defense and an aging QB with a huge contract. Plus, we've all witnessed how quickly a OL can age and fall apart. By the time the rest of the team catches up with the OL, it will be too late
has three 1st round picks and took 4 years to build. Up until this year, the Cowboy line was not very good. I am going to give benefit of the doubt to Pugh and Richburg that they are going to develop into good players. If Beatty and Schwartz can regain their forms and this line can get some cohesiveness, then they will have a chance to be just as good.
before opining on who is good and who is bad. The Giants as bad as they looked were up against the "assumed" best D line in football. If the Lions' D tears a few more teams a new asshole then we know this is true. If they play average or roll over for other teams we know it isn't and the Giants are worse, if that is possible.
Conversely, if the Giants play much better against assumed other not quite as good d lines over time we can assume the Giants O line is better, hopefully, than we thought after getting mauled by the best.
All this choosing who is good and bad after one game mystifies me, as it takes time to see who the "good" teams are each year in modern football due to the rapid movement of players.
The one constant for me is, I hope dallas continues to suck. Their problem will be opposite of the Giants. A good O line but Weeden behind it may be as effective as a weak O line with Eli behind it. A wash overall and crappy for both teams.
If Dallas had Eli they win the division hands down. If we had Dallas's line we'd be in great shape this year. Romo is having all the time in the world to throw it. Lucky for us, Romo stinks. Lucky for them that in spite of what a stupid GM Jones is, he's is obviously a much better GM than JR when it comes to identifying how important the O-line is.
JR has really screwed up this team. I feel very sorry for TC. If we get more than 4 wins this year it will be a freakin miracle!

Actually, this post was more of a reference to Free. IIRC, he was outstanding last year as a RT.
I agree with you but if JR had taken Martin at 1 he would have been too stupid to also take Richburgh at 2 and we CLEARLY needed both! The fact that he brings in Walton and then drafts another center shows he was totally thrown off his game if he ever even had one to begin with.
we likely go elsewhere in rd 2 and don't have Richburg. Are people really ready to proclaim Martin that much better than Richburg after 1 game?
Dallas struck gold with Smith, who's arguably the best LT in the game. But while they're OL is stacked and their overall offensive is very good, their D is awful. And with Smith's new deal and Dez about to become a top 5 paid WR, their cap situation sucks.

No, it means:
1) Richburg was his highest rated interior OL who Reese and scouts felt could play OG or OC.
2) He was drafting Richburg for the long run and as insurance, 2 things people have criticized him for not doing in past seasons.
As talented as that offensive line is, weren't they down 28-3

Again, and I don't see why this has to keep getting repeated...they have built that OL at the expense of the defense. That team is NOT winning the division with Eli. Just stop. That defense is historically bad, but that continues to get ignored by the love struck masses. I also love it how now, everybody on this site wanted Martin. I seem to remember Donald being the flavor of choice at the time. Martin had a few on this site calling for him, but not nearly as many as we've seen step forward this week after the OL struggled. Oddly enough, we hear nothing about Donald anymore. Everybody now wanted Martin.
a top WR right now more than a RG. Mosely will be back this week. The line needs a chance to play together for a while, adding Martin would not change that. Having a threat opposite Cruz would be huge. We also need Fewell to get his head out of his ass on third and long.

Yeah, well he was too stupid to take a solid OL in the 1st so I don't know how one has anything to do with the other.
The real POINT here is, that the Giants should have gone OL in rounds 1 AND 2....and not fucked around in free agency with guys like Charlie Brown.
Not really.

Doesn't exactly sound like a team heading in the right direction.

Surprised how poor Romo looked and he did have time to throw.
How different would things be right now?

So, this past May, you knew ODB would injure his hammy and Martin would be healthy.
