Sites like bare naked Islam host tons of this media that gets censored here. I can't account for all of it. But take a look at a beheading. It's not like game of thrones with an axe. In real life, it's practically a giant butter knife. There are probably ideological difference here if people don't see the significance of these gruesome acts.

The issue isn't his post on this topic alone. Reason why I am being so hard on him (and I'm assuming others as well) is that he ignores any form of self assessment of the topic at hand or even reading what other people with a bit more knowledge about a topic than him just so that he can find an opposing view or non-mainstream view on any topic being discussed. It's almost like a game to him to come up with a position that has not been discussed by the majority. And if that is based on any kind of a research, then it wouldn't warrant the beating. However, when it is just a normal MO for his posts, than ignorance does equal stupidity.
So yes, radar trying to be radar makes his post stupid as well as being ignorant.
Please explain how we are fighting a proxy war in Syria. I am completely stumped on that one.
As far as the 16% number in France is concerned, I expect that it is a combination of:
--bad polling
--SOME of their Muslims
--Some of France's extreme haters, including fascists, who just like seeing people dead. France has a disproportionate amount of extreme haters.
ISIS, I think, is playing a very stupid game. With every televised beheading of a civilian, they pull more of the world into a true alliance with the US on obliterating them. Australia is now committed to sending troops, for example. And ISIS, by their actions has made two things more likely in in Iraq. First, that the new PM will actually be successful in keeping a sloppy but viable coalition together. And second, that some or many Sunni tribes will join the fight against ISIS
What we still need is for more Muslim nations to get off their asses, but there is a reasonable chance that ISIS by their actions will make that more likely.
The vast majority of Eurosocialists are NOT on the far left. Socialism is far, far, far from being a homogeneos set of beliefs. Haters in France are much more likely to be fascists or communisits.

Here's an anecdote from my oldest son. On his last deployment to Afghanistan, his team saw a video of a nine year old boy, a Taliban inductee, behead a captive man with a knife. A nine year old boy.
The video was complete from start to finish. I know the Taliban isn't ISIS/ISIL, but how the hell do you combat this shit?
He obviously hasn't seen the videos.
