AZ not sure about Carson Palmer (shoulder), who has not thrown a pass since Mon. One source said "50-50 at best" that Palmer plays vs NYG

...to get Detroit back in the game when the Giants appeared ready to pull away. Johnson was actually covered pretty well. Thomas was underneath, and knew he had safety help, but Rolle took a terrible angle. Nice throw, though. See clip below.
Overall, Stanton showed an NFL arm and good mobility, making a couple of plays with his legs. He's a decent backup, but he hasn't thrown a meaningful pass in almost four years. I wouldn't expect him to suck; he just isn't likely to be consistent, and the Giants' chances are certainly better against him than a healthy Palmer. Even if Palmer does play, the lack of practice time might affect his rhythm. Calvin Johnson beats TT and 'Trel in 2010. - ( New Window )
quite a bit of luck the last year or so facing many backup QB's, it's the only thing that saved the Giants from a 4-12 year last year, which may have been a better result long term
will be here as long as TC is, accept it. His record should have gotten him fired 2/3 years ago but he relates to the platers well. TC istill remembers the Sheridan nightmare and will not go down that road again.
Pretty sure Fewell's plan calls for bringing a safety down in the box to work with the LBs in a double spy scheme to contain the mobile Carson Palmer. Fewell will leave a single safety high to make sure the Cardinal wide recreceivers can run free deep which will confuse the qb who will have to make a quick decision between all the wide open targets. Unless, the D line reads the pass situation presnap in which case they fall back in a soft zone coverage which is designed to allow the offense to catch the ball until one of our athletic D linemen can make a play on the ball and create a greenzone type interception on the ball. Its a complicated scheme, yes, but if the players execute on the field we can contain the Cards on 1 and 2nd downs and then stay on the field to give up a big play on 3rd down. If the scheme is too complicated, we can simplify it during for the last 6 games of the season when we have been eliminated from the playoffs. Players have to execute.

I usually don't correct typos, given how many I make, but that should read, "if we have been eliminated from the playoffs.."
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Cardinals expect Carson Palmer (shoulder, questionable) to start against the Giants "assuming his arm feels good pre-game."
We now have conflicting reports, as a source informed ESPN's Adam Schefter that Palmer was "50-50 at best" to play. The good news is the Cardinals and Giants kick off at 1 PM ET, so Palmer owners will have plenty of time to find a plug-and-play option. Palmer is shaping up as a true game-time decision.
will give it a shot. he has been playing hurt most of his career. Tough guy and a gamer. How accurate and strong his arm is after a few hits and the lack of activity is the difference maker. Accurate and good if he is OK. That would spell trouble for us.

Hope you don't take offense at the correction
I disagree. Like with everything else there is a context, if we win and play well offensively, I don't think you will find a person who will be angry about it.

We gotta play our game. Would be nice to see him sit however

Unfortunately, the Giants have a history of losing to backup quarterbacks.
Fewell should get fired.....

I'll take any help we can get at this point.
Both of those things are just going to take time.
