I have heard there are communities in the mountains of nothing but men who have left there wives cause they could not handle it!

It's like being Jekyll and Hyde, and it lasts for years. And if you have any kind of underlying issue (I have auto-immune issues) it makes those worse. The hot flashes and the inability to sleep can make you crazy. HRT helps, but the possible side effects can be scary. I stopped taking those after having some issues with them. What has finally helped is a complete diet change, and yes anti-anxiety/depression meds. They also help with the hot flashes. Effexor is supposed to be very helpful with that. Maybe you guys can take some too, to help you cope.

Seriously, nobody talks about what it's like as a kid whose mom is in menopause. Man, I remember those moments.

Has been in menopause her while life. Run and hide. Also suggest acupuncture. It helped a friend more than anything.
