The D played extremely well after the first drive.
Eli was near perfect barring the off the helmet throw.
Donnell looks like a legit starter.
The o line was passable.
They obviously lost because of three consecutive plays (Cruz drop, Ginn run back, Demps fumble) but if you look at the aggregate of plays this could be a contender in a weak division.
Let's go Colts!
Should they be having a celebration in the locker room for this positive loss?
They should be ashamed of themselves for losing a game where the other team had to play their backup QB who hasn't played in 4 years and a defense that was without major contributors.
Positive loss = bullshit.
This is as embarrassing as a loss as we could have had.
There were positive signs on offense today, but it was a terrible loss
You're a football team, you play the NY Giants, and feel like world beaters...." Wow" you think to your collective self..." We torched that team easily, I feel good, the team is good"......you feel good about your practices all week, because you really don't have much to work on, look how good you are......
And thennnnnnnn.....you play a real NFL team the following week and get your ass beat....ask Detroit...we beat the Lions THIS week.....just watch how bad Arizona does next week, watch...
See? It's not ALL bad.
+1 it aint over til the fat lady sings.. then if so, fire Coughlin and co.
However, this team has a lot of players with poor skills (receiving, tackling, coverage)and a coaching staff in denial.
I think a few in-season firings (players, coaches and front office) might get everyone else to shape up.
BAHAHA - well played!
There were zero positives outside of that. We lost to a team traveling across the country on a short week. With a backup QB.
there was no short week advantage.
Stupid fucking post. The first INT was a perfect combination of awful blocking, Cruz stumbling, and the pass hitting a helmet. Yes, Eli fans some of the blame on that play, but there was plenty to go around. The second INT was garbage time in a contest that was already over. Just watch the urgency the offense had in that drive. None. So who the fuck gives a shit about that play.
Meanwhile Eli goes 26 for 39. If or receivers gold on to two of their dropped passes, Eli hits the 70 percent mark we all laugh about.
We lost because of dropped passes, no running game, Jennings' fumble, Demps' fumble, Ginn's return, and stupid penalties of defense that prolonged drives.
The Patriots' loss in 2007 was a positive loss. We knew if we could hang with the undefeated Pats, we could beat anyone. The Packers' game in 2011 was a positive loss. Same idea as in 2007. Today we lost to the ARIZONA FUCKING CARDINALS with a backup quarterback. If this was the result against Seattle, maybe I'd agree. But not Arizona. Not now.
This is a game AZ is thrilled to win. They won the battle on turnovers and special teams. If this is played again tomorrow we win.
It as a loss in which the team showed some positive signs though. And some negative ones too.
