1. Why was falcons at bengals a cbs game? For as long as I recall, road teams conference determines the network in an interconference game. This should have been a fox game. I dont get it, bizarrely out of the ordinary
2. David diehl has made a smooth transition to the booth. He really sounds as if he has been at it for years. Caught a good bit of hawks/chargers today
3. Much better week for mike carey in terms of his comfort level on camera, he came off very nervous in week 1
4. Did burkhardt and lynch just take off early in the giants game? That was weird
Cross-Flexing - ( New Window )
I was never his biggest fan as a player but he has hit the ground running on the broadcasting end, he has an awesome future in this business
This. The Browns game had nearly 5 minutes of no commentary at the end too. Something technical was happening.
How many times did they talk about Arizona's D leading the league in rush D last year? When the game was 8 points and the Giants were driving, they were still talking about the game as if the outcome was decided?
I'd rather the game was on mute.
I remember it and liked it. The casual fan would hate it though and that is who the NFL has been targeting and trying to convert into a more solid fan base in order to keep growing so we will never see it again.
Now, if only they would offer a technology that could remove the bottom screen crawl and the unnecessary down and distance graphic that's superimposed on the field. I could do without the line of scrimmage and the first down line, as well.
I remember it well, it was Weed 16.
I also recall it not be very good, simply because they advertised it as you'll hear the sights and sounds of the NFL as it really happens on the field.
The only thing I really remember was a Dolphin player getting mad and you hearing him yell into one of the mics.........needless to say it never happened again.
Just goes to show you the east coast bias with national televised games, look at the Giants primetime schedule coming off their year.
