"Denver Broncos fans have dealt with the perceived bias of CBS analyst Phil Simms for years. I've always tolerated it - fans often claim an analyst or ref is biased, and being an objective color commentator is difficult when you're rooting for close games."

Secodn, have they HEARD Troy Aikman do a Cowboy game?
+1
someone needs to repost that "espn hates your team" piece from a few years ago
Yep, and 1 dropped pass.....BEST EVER in that game
Yep. That's what it's really about.
But, while the Broncos' success is well documented over the past few years, I do see that the fan base has become a bit overbearing out here. Yes, yes, yes... your Broncos are doing well. Happy for you. Now get over it. You almost gagged up a lead against your rivals at home. Deal with that better... Phil Simms has nothing to do with all the penalties in the 4th Qtr.
I loved Simms the Giant. He's almost unlistenable as Simms the analyst.
Aikman is better than Simms by a wide margin. And I do not believe Aikman is anti-giant at all. Aikman has always been fair to Eli and Tom Coughlin.
I know many find Collinsworth annoying but for me he is by far the best analyst of the 3 main networks big teams.
For what its worth, I think Kirk Herbstreit is fantastic as a college football analyst - he is probably best "football" analyst of any major network. Him and Collinsworth.

Like anyone gives a shit about what some fucking grad student says.

You said it! I am so glad all graduate students are banned from this site! But ... even though the level of discourse and analysis here is so marvelous, nobody on this site gives a shit about what anyone else thinks -- unless of course they happen to be agreeing with you -- which doesn't require getting into graduate school - just kindergarten.
2 tvs, red zone channel, Floyd, Tull, Zappa on the surround sound. Don't they have legal pot in Denver?
Long live Phil Simms!
