Some positive light to this miserable weekend loss
Came home last night and my wife wasnt feeling well so she took a pregnancy test and it came back positive, shes preggers
We just got married recently- what am I in store for?
I drank a 6pack like it was water last night, I still can't stop shaking im beyond nervous and happy all at the same time
Realize the your parents had no effin clue what they were doing the first child they had. You learn as you go. As long as you love that child with everything you have and have an open mind, and trust your instincts everything else falls into place. Oh and when in doubt listen to your wife, thats never bad advice. Congrats!!
I'm seriously not being a dick, but so many pregnancies result in other than favorable outcomes besides the personal mental anguish you deal with you have to answer questions from every f-ing person on the planet about how your baby is doing or how your wife is coping with pregnancy. Only....
i was told the first trimester was when to start telling people and a lot could happen in the first few months, its only been a little over a month. I made the deposit a little over a month ago

Yeah. This happened to me and my wife too. Test was positive but didn't make it out of the first trimester. A few months later, she was pregnant with twins.

but how far along is she? you normally wouldn't tell people until after the first tri-mester and a home test can show positive much earlier than that. Maybe you don't care b/c this is an anonymous forum.

Same here, minus the twins. It happens a lot and is not out of the ordinary.
Yours?
Congrats
Gratz! you will need a bigger living space!
With comments like that, I'm sure you'll be a kind hearted and sensitive father and husband so you don't really need advice. LOL. I'm kidding...congrats!
In the event that you don't want to follow your cousin's advice and just give the baby to your wife when it cries, check out Dr. Harvey Karp's "Happiest Baby on the Block" DVD. He has a technique to calm crying babies down that is incredibly effective. Here's a sample video....and best of luck.

yeah the 5S' are key!worked like a charm.
four words: modified cry it out.
it will get your baby sleeping throughout the night about 2-3 months in, and you will be set for good sleep habits and therefore a happier baby afterwards. just resist the urge to run in and check on him her during those first few days of applying it.
good luck and congrats!
