Maclin has never been anything more than a solid 2. The scheme and the OL is what wins for the Eagles. That Indy couldn't take advantage of their depleted offensive line is worrisome for this game.

Man, Luck is such a talented QB. Might be top 5 already. Can't wait for that team to just keep adding talent around him. Only Luck can turn the worst team in football to a playoff team overnight.
their defense is famous, too bad the Giants are in the state they are. If they were a 10-6 team, they'd be 12-4 with the division so bad. It's a crying shame.
Sonny Jurgenson was the best ever at drawing the D lineman offsides, I can relate to hating Gruden, which is why I have the sound off, but Luck is one smart cookie man, he's gonna be one of the best barring injury or a TMZ invasion...
They most certainly ended up in an Eagles player hands. But since it's Luck they fly high in the air after being tipped and fall harmlessly to the ground.
RE: Two passes by Luck right there that if Eli had thrown them
They most certainly ended up in an Eagles player hands. But since it's Luck they fly high in the air after being tipped and fall harmlessly to the ground.
I just said that to my dad. If that's Eli, the DB picks it and returns it for a touchdown.

Maclin played with Vick and McNabb when they were both even more inaccurate than Eli. I think Maclin is better than Cruz and if he played with a real QB, you would see how good he is.
he didn't have a chance to defend himself. Bwahaaaaaa. So how about putting his head on a swivel and defend himself. He's on a freaking football field for crying out loud
The officials seem to be "letting them play" tonight. Yesterday it was a flag fest.
It makes me think the league caught a backlash and told them to chill out tonight. But how is that fair? That shit cost teams games yesterday, but the Eagles and Colts don't get the same treatment.
This is a pass fest. You're telling me they're playing that much cleaner than everybody else?

Colts have been getting called for illegal contact and holding. Eagles nothing.

Talking Giants football intelligently left this place a long time ago. I can't tell you the name of the guy the Giants were paying to take LT's piss tests but I know what he looks like.
That said, I have never been accused of being a dupe. A dope maybe, but never a dupe.
Take this from the post, it's not Eli's fault...
wow Trent Richardson finally does something in the pros
also think the Giants are the only team in the league that ever has injuries
Yep. This is the most annoying one of them all.
The Chiefs just lost Charles indefinitely. Tillman just tore his triceps again and is done for the year for CHI. Moreno dislocated his elbow yesterday and will miss several weeks.
This is what football is. It sucks. But it's reality.
I don't question refs calls usually but what the hell was going on with James Jones in the Oakland game when he was clearly dragged out of bounds, was the first to come back in and touch the ball only to fumble again?
Lil help?
Seriously, other than the encroachment and the PF...

Cause its allowed fucktard. That only is negated when a pass is thrown. Jones had already established himself with the ball in bounds before he fumbled.
Bradshaw seems to think that Nicks' situation and his are similar, and emblematic of a perpetual desire by the Giants to churn their roster.
"I know how it is over there. How they work," Bradshaw told Mike. "It gets bad as you get more years in the league with Giants. You get the younger guys coming in. They visualize, and with me, they visualize me leaving and David Wilson coming in and being that guy. Andre Brown being that guy, and they had those two guys. They were like, 'Leave that money alone. Let him [Bradshaw] go, take care of the little guys.'[Wilson and Brown] That's how this league is becoming.
Nicks, for the record, had nothing but good things to say about the Giants and Eli when he left. A little hard to believe, but when an interviewer asked him if had had a "love/hate" relationship with Coughlin, Nicks said no, he thought it was just a love relationship.
The Giants do let some vets go who still have tread left on them: Tuck, Osi, Joseph when they have a younger and cheaper replacement. Other vets with nothing left they keep, largely because they have no better replacement.
I'll give you points and actually address one or two more posts from you. I thought once you were out of bounds, you couldn't be the first player to touch the ball.
You got me if that's true, I didn't know. Not bad for an Eagles fan...

Bradshaw is bitter. The Giants had young guys and did the right thing but it didn't work out. Win some, lose some, but Giants seem to lose most of them!
I'll give you points and actually address one or two more posts from you. I thought once you were out of bounds, you couldn't be the first player to touch the ball.

Yes its true. And if he touched the ball when out of bounds, the play is dead. But he is more than eligible to recover his own fumble even if he was out of bounds.
Gotta admit, I had Houston's D in that game and was screaming for a flag ( until the second fumble), I'm not a rules guy like Fat Man but have seen just about everything, never saw that before.
last year with the Giants because of his nearly crippled feet.
But his last year with the Giants was more productive than I thought. He ran for over 1000 yards, 4.6 y/c, and caught 23 passes for over ten yards a catch. In 2010 he caught 47 passes.
I can see why he might be bitter. They haven't found a replacement yet.
Daring Foles to beat them, control the clock, take out the Eagles best player, working with even a suspect defense. Can't put a price on intelligent game planning.

We held McCoy to 46 yards on 20 carries the first time we played them last year and 48 yards on 15 carries the 2nd.
Even though Kelly wants to run, the Eagles have talent all over, the reason they suck because they are the Eagles is because they can be called the Egoles, no team concept, bunch of me first assholes but they have talent, I.e. Desean Jackson against the Giants
play a 3 man front and then everyone else 20 yards off the ball? That's an easy 15 yard run every time with even an average back.
Reminds me of the garbage in the Giants-Bears sunday night game, i believe it was the same night Hester brought back the field goal for a td. They had a crazy draw like that where we just backed everyone so far off. Believe it was 2006

Yeah, I was there... With the late Bob in Annapolis.
run, and throw the ball while out-physicaling the other team. We have a long way to go to rebuild our team, starting with more talent and size on the OL.
Not sure what to tell you. Foles threw behind him.
And on the 3rd and 12, he threw over him and he caught it jumping up.
Don't know what game you are watching
does a team have Peyton Manning as their franchise QB for 12 years, then have Andrew Luck fall in their lap for the next 10 or 12?
Interesting point. I wonder what would have happened if Peyton never had the neck problem. Wonder if they wold have thought to draft another QB when they took Luck.
They have to start calling out how bad it has gotten. This game is being handed to Philly. No other way to slice it. Handed to them. Fuck this league. I wish I didn't love football so much. It is getting so hard to watch.
People need to realize that its 2014 not 1984. Throw to win.
Why you run twice in the middle with Richardson when you have Andrew Luck as your quarterback is beyond me. The goal should not be 3rd and 5. The goal should be to stay out of 3rd down, so that doesn't happen.
Tackle makes his block, RB goes 80 yards for a TD. No one play ever decides a game, it's only perception. Give the refs back the ability to call a game without being put up on the big screen. It's an impossible task. Replay is just as mind boggling as some of the calls...
and the coaches. Just horrible fucking play calling. There is no way in the world Trent Richardson shoudl get 21 fucking carries in a game. Play not to lose, and they lost.
But it feels like it has been so fucking long since I've actually felt good about where the Giants stood during a season. It has been almost 2 full years. Feels like every week since mid-2012 has just been one fucking kick in the dick after another.
interview of the ref who blew the horsecollar call and the ref who blew the call when they pulled down Hilton? Oh that's right, they don't get interviewed! Why the fuck not? They unmercifully interview every one else including the men's room attendant. Get those assholes in front of a mike! I want to hear their lame excuses for either being incompetent, or intentionally calling this crap!
were the replacement ones, you would see people out with their pitch forks in the media ready to tar and feather these guys. Because they aren't replacements they say one word about it and move on. The replacements had zero NFL experience and were no worse than these jerkoffs, but they dont get anywhere near the beating that the replacements took.
Horse collar was a bad call but why aren't you pointing out a missed block in the 2nd quarter that would have sprung the screen to Richardson for a TD. Just as relevant, actually, even more so.
Refs are reacting to what they see, they don't get a copy of the script before the show, players know what's going to happen, sure, there's bad calls but the referees do not decide a game, it's pretty simple...
Please go and look at his Oregon teams. They couldnt win the big game. Happened every year. They would usually lose and it wasn't just on the road to teams they had no business losing to. The one year that they got to the national title game they lost because their offense sucked in the game, defense kept them in it.
He's a great offensive mind, but his teams have always come up small in the big spot, and the Eagles did that last year, which was the norm at Oregon
Chris B. Brown @smartfootball
There you go. RT @fbgchase: How's this for insane? 352 YAC for the Eagles. Foles threw for 331 passing yards. Yes, you read that correctly
Eagles imo have average specials teams, average D, average QB and WR
But they have elite RB, TE, OL and HC. That is enough for them to win a lot of games with they creativity and ability to get the most out of their talent with scheme.
Will be receiving major recruiting violation sanctions and more, that's why he got out. Most people cheat to vault, take the heat, cash the pay checks, it's the American way. He played the game, he's done well for himself, kharma and conscience are what he has to deal with, took care of his family though, good man...

Football Perspective @fbgchase
Ah, I'm sorry. Feel free to commence the twitter burning at the stake. Revised Foles numbers came in: 233 YAC, 98 through a
he was sacked 3 times, which is taken away from his passing yards.
If I'm the Eagles, I would never even consider paying Foles big money. He made a bunch of bad throws tonight. They could bring in a bunch of different qb's for cheap to do what he does. Hopefully they never get their hands on a running type QB with a big arm. A guy like Kaepernick would be deadly in that system
It used to be that the quarterback would throw a pass to his
receiver, the receiver would catch the ball and go down, and if the receiver had the ball when he got up it was a catch.
Now they look at every reception in super slow motion to see if the ball slipped the smallest bit and touched the ground for an eight of a second.
Who needs that as a rule? Go back to when you intuitively knew if the guy had caught or dropped the ball without having to spend five minutes looking at the replay.
he was not sacked at all. Had a couple of very small runs that I thought were sacks but were not. Sack yardage does count towards passing yards in NFL, that would be the only way something like that could be true
Kelly had gone to another team. He's a really good offensive coach and puts a thoroughly entertaining product on the field.
I don't sweat the Eagles winning. Some team we hate is going to win the division - doesn't really matter to me which one it is. Looks like Philly is a the likely candidate, but they're not good enough to win the NFC. Just another playoff loss for the Eagles. It's fine.
Waters will tour again, TMZ employees will die a violent death,
but internet zealots will eventually get what they wish for, open the book on everyone that ever played in the NFL and there will be no more football.
But it was worth it, they got to voice their opinion on things they have no first hand knowledge of themselves. I mean that's what it's all about right? Getting to have an opinion without having themselves on the fire?
Beagles beating the better team tonight hurts but you always have the Philly trophy case. Life goes on, no matter how fucked up it is now...
Look far be it from me to tell a team how to defend against
Kelly's offense, but I was surprised the Colts didn't blitz at all given the eagles had two guys on OL who are third stringers. I know with the speed of Sproles and McCoy you don't want to leave them out there by themselves, but it seems you needed to test Foles a bit. He had all day today
Do you have a special feed for this game? Because the replay clearly showed the Colts defender grabbing and holding on to the Eagles player jersey
McCoy and Maclin are very talented, and so is their offensive line.
The scheme is helping, but the scheme wouldn't matter if they didn't have talent.
And now that the kickoffs are usually touchbacks it's just worse.
Maclin was holding. It was obvious. Horrible call.
Maclin would be our number 1 WR.
Their defense has holes but Luck is A Peyton Manning who will actually win some playoff games. They'll beat Eagles tonight by out thinking them...
Quote:

More fight in him than the entire 2014 Giants offensive line
Why did we cut him again?
Cruz > Maclin
Good RB in Bradshaw and Richardson.
Good WRs in Wayne, Hilton, and Nicks.
Good RB in Bradshaw and Richardson.
Good WRs in Wayne, Hilton, and Nicks.
Weapons are nice, OL is crucial. Colts do not have a good OL. It really is amazing what Luck has done behind that shit show.

Resurrections.

Why would another male want to carry another jock? Sounds pretty gross and sick to me. To boot, its not my thing either.

But, I never stood outside Lucas Oil Field to listen to Peyton.

Favre and elway were probably the two best I've seen in my lifetime.
LOL no
I just said that to my dad. If that's Eli, the DB picks it and returns it for a touchdown.
They got this one...
Colts 31, Eagles 21

It's not even debatable that Cruz is a better WR than Maclin, that's why I asked him if he really is an Eagles fan.

Like watching Pierce cover Westbrook 1 on 1.
This is what would happen if Perry Fewell played the man coverage all of the time that people pine for.
Ever wonder why he gets so conservative when he loses guys like Beason?
It's specifically to avoid scenarios like THAT.
Bingo! And we've been getting more than a fair share of unlucky and weird things happening.
I think I just saw Dip in the stands in the Maclin jersey though...

That was good...
We've got some bad luck.

We have no luck.

yea those 4 Super Bowl titles they have is.....oh um nevermind.
I didn't know the Giants were playing tonight!
I didn't know the Giants were playing tonight!
There'd be about 10 INT's on tipped passes if we were playing tonight.
Colts have been reading Fewell's " How to Play Third Down Defense"
Someone fucking tackle.
Tie game, let's play...
let's go Rangers
You posted that Ertz was a big time talent before he dropped that uncontested perfect pass, right?
Screw the Colts, any reason I'm missing you would want the Eagles to win?
Reminds me of the garbage in the Giants-Bears sunday night game, i believe it was the same night Hester brought back the field goal for a td. They had a crazy draw like that where we just backed everyone so far off. Believe it was 2006
The Colts haven't handled McCoy?
Please explain...

Yeah, I was there... With the late Bob in Annapolis.
Still owes me a beer but since he picked up Eric at the airport, I'll collect from Eric some day.
Miss ya Bob...
And yeah, that was Thomas Jones in the Chicago game right
Keeps my world alive...
glad the colts redzone playcalling benefits the RBs complete skillset....
hat series had some well-designed plays. Plus Luck is the real deal.
Any explanation on the big time talent Ertz, dropping an uncontested, perfect pass?
Maybe not an Eagles fan but an apologist?
Gotta pull for the Colts, unless you're pissed that Ernie Accorsi drafted Eli only because Elway turned him down.
But that's a story I'm sure is above your head...
And on the 3rd and 12, he threw over him and he caught it jumping up.
Don't know what game you are watching
Ha ha ha, that was good.
Interesting point. I wonder what would have happened if Peyton never had the neck problem. Wonder if they wold have thought to draft another QB when they took Luck.
Ertz, overrated that only people who believe NFL.com would think is a top TE.
He'd start on our team but he ain't better than Heath Miller.
Smarts...
Another gift for the Eagles
Calling Ertz a top TE or rooting for the Eagles?
Your post wasn't clear.
Wasn't there a back named McCoy that supposed to be dominating?
Agree! The officiating seems to worse each year by lots!
Obviously Irsay has no pull this year...
Yeah Tirico, Foles led them down the field with the help of the NFL.
They perform the same as the players do. Instant replay is the worst thing to happen to football since NBC got Sunday Night Football.
Live with the call and adjust, part of the game man...
Without Richardson in there...

Agree.
LOL
There is no God...
Still infuriating. Mental toughness my fucking ass, this was a gift from the refs
Giants would never trade a draft choice for a 35 year old anything.
Compare the Eagles' backs to the Giants' backs.
Play golf today?
I can't say it feels any worse than now but it's been worse than now.
Be fucking nice to get excited about something though.
Oh well, there's always fish pun threads and abusing the idiots...
plays....refs blew game
this. The Giants season is close to over, and so is Coughlin's coaching career.
There you go. RT @fbgchase: How's this for insane? 352 YAC for the Eagles. Foles threw for 331 passing yards. Yes, you read that correctly
Will be receiving major recruiting violation sanctions and more, that's why he got out. Most people cheat to vault, take the heat, cash the pay checks, it's the American way. He played the game, he's done well for himself, kharma and conscience are what he has to deal with, took care of his family though, good man...

they are not...
But that's a "horsecollar"
Amazing. Amazing levels of inept.

Ah, I'm sorry. Feel free to commence the twitter burning at the stake. Revised Foles numbers came in: 233 YAC, 98 through a
If I'm the Eagles, I would never even consider paying Foles big money. He made a bunch of bad throws tonight. They could bring in a bunch of different qb's for cheap to do what he does. Hopefully they never get their hands on a running type QB with a big arm. A guy like Kaepernick would be deadly in that system
Now they look at every reception in super slow motion to see if the ball slipped the smallest bit and touched the ground for an eight of a second.
Who needs that as a rule? Go back to when you intuitively knew if the guy had caught or dropped the ball without having to spend five minutes looking at the replay.

The Giants won't even look at a healthy 20-something year old speedster in LaMichael James...for free!
