My son & I were just discussing this topic a few minutes ago. We both agreed that it's very possible (and very good for the team); if he was just given a chance to go to the left side.
JPP has a lot of Strahan in him - an excellent run stopper besides being a very good pass rusher. I think Moore is a more natural speed rusher from the left side. Having JPP in your face all day is no fun.
Kiwi is the super "handy man" at DE, but should not be starting, I don't think.
JPP would be tossed around at that weight.
Can he be the next Strahan? possibly but I think he still has a lot to learn and no one to really teach him. I dont know if he is a student of the game, but Strahan was and that was part of the reason he was great. He studied the opposition and studied what made other pass rushers successful from what he said at the hall of fame.
JPP was a very raw talent coming in and from what I see, he doesnt mix up his moves enough. On passing downs I see JPP being handled 1 on 1 a lot so maybe he has not regained his explosion back from his injuries. I would like to see the Giants move him around and give him other opportunities but that would take creativity from the DC.
I think JPP can be a lot more useful on the left because he can really disrupt the thing that most teams want to do on 1st & second downs - run.
Moore reminds me of a young Osi or Robert Mathis, pure speed to the QB.
Come to think of it, that's when Strahan was most effective - when Osi was at his best.

Hey Manny did you see that Abilene Christian knocked off Troy? huge win for the Wildcats
I watched the replay instead of the shitty NFL.. good game
Showed up in the stat column with a half-sack
That IS big, knocking off Troy !
A lot of good players that have come put of there. In my mind, I still think of them as ACC (before they became a university).
But my favorite player of all time that came out of there is the NFL player with the most colorful name of ALL TIME - Vitamin T. Smith
