I was just thinking that it's late morning and no news usually means bad news. Hope I'm wring but I'm sure the team knows the severity of the injury by now.
I'd rather play McClain there and go with Paysinger outside until Kennard is back (but Coughlin made it sound like it will be a while on Kennard).
We just have to face the facts...this season is going to suck massively. The focus should be on the offense and the restoration of Manning at this point.
Thurmond, Jernigan, Holliday, Will Hill, Justin Tuck, Odell Beckham (for the foreseeable future), Kevin Boothe (and his big butt), Linval Joseph, Terrell Thomas, Corey Webster (and his bike), Hakeem Nicks, Chris Snee (and his injured self), David Diehl, David Baas, Andre Brown, David Wilson, even Brandon Myers, Bear Pascoe, Ryan Mundy, Keith Rivers, Shaun Rogers, Aaron Ross, Charles Jaes, Cooper Taylor, etc, and replace them with who we have and this team is probably worse than last year

Think you're reaching a bit here. Why not just recite the entire roster? Myers? Mundy? Rogers? Really?

Donnell is better than Myers, Receivers are about the same until ODB Jr gets going, he is on the roster. Running backs are better. The OL has better players, they need time to develop and gel - losing Schwartz didn't help. Defensively the back 4 talent was upgraded, and I think the D-Line has played fairly well. Ayers Jr looks as though he was a good pick up for Tuck. LB is a problem due to injury, but Kennard certainly looks like he has a future. The biggest problem is not talent, it's injuries, stupid mistakes, dropping passes, miscommunications, and the constant theme of giving up 3rd and long, which I attribute mostly to coaching. Looked to me like TC benched Jennings after his fumble, but why at that point in the game??? Sure enough, Williams drops a pass on second down with 2:30 left to play. If your going to do that, why not put Hillis in? The coaching brain farts need to stop, aka benching Moore for missing Stafford in the first game. Sorry, but that's just dumb.
and his family are awesome people. And I was hoping Mark would be a RFA steal. But he seems to lost the athleticism he once had in college.
Agree Eric. He was a highly regarded LB prospect until that C thing took over! It suck that Kennard is not available because he was coming on and could be a guy to hold down the fort.
is basically taking away Will Hill and adding DRC who I have to say came a little bit overrated. I don't consider than an improvement when you subtract Walter Thurmond.
The front 4 is no Tuck or Linval and instead Hankins and Ayers. Come on, I think Hankins has the goods and will be good, but Tuck and Linval win that EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.
WR's Nicks was Nicks, and that is still better than Randle and you have no clue if Beckham ever sees the field.
Donnell has been a nice surprise, but I'm not sure Jennings is better than Andre Brown/David Wilson, sadly Wilson fumbled and then broke his neck so we never found out, but either way Jennings is average. no better.
the OL lost Schwartz or it may be different, but they look like a carbon copy of last year.
I was being slightly facetious but last year's roster and this year's roster is neck and neck (today). Maybe the rookies develop and change things, but i'm not banking on that.
And now with Beason out for an extended period of time, I might have to give last year a clear nod at being better.
must be busy today since we have have about 3-4 positions of immediate (LB, CB, WR, maybe punter) need, and the short week after Sundays game vs Houston.

That was my point. Last year's roster was better.

Only Beason excels in the run game where Herzlich gets lost.
Has to be a better option.
