He did say it may be Herzlich in the middle for Beason. We are cooked if that is the case.
Called it an absolute must win this week.
That may be the case but he is a special teams player and it is taking two injuries for him to play. Not much you can do about that.

The coaches went to great length to avoid even putting Paysinger (who was 100% healthy by all accounts) on the field Sunday. That should tell us something.
On the radio broadcast, the question came up as to whether Paysinger is in the doghouse for something. Neither Papa or Banks could figure out why he wasn't in the game.
We can't even really do this because our 3rd safety is Quintin Demps and he is awful.
We're already in a bad spot defensive personnel wise.

It really stood out how much we missed Beason when Ellington had that big run on the right side in the 2nd half. There was an opportunity for a play to be made but Herzlich couldn't get to the hole in time to meet Ellington and it cost us dearly.
He simply doesn't have the quickness and athleticism to be anything other than a special teams player.
if this is true that Herzlich is replacing Beason in the middle then I've lost all hope for this team.
One just has to ask themselves WTH are the coaches seeing on film that is plain as day to the average fan. Watching Herzlich play this Sunday was painful. He has no business being on any NFL roster. And that not to be a knock on him as a person.....
I'm curious to hear from the "coaching staff knows all and walks on water" crowd about this decision.

Paysinger and Williams both play the same Position (SAM), so that is why Herzlich would start.
Has nothing to do with Paysinger "falling in the coaches eyes" or him being a worse option than Herzlich. They simply play different positions.

I think the point is that even with Herz in there, they'll be running on the Giants all day. So at least Paysinger gives them a little more speed and maybe the ability to cover the RBs/TEs.
