Donnell has been a blessing

mrvax : 9/16/2014 1:49 pm
Most of BBI was worried that we really had no TE's on the roster that could be counted on to make some plays. In the 1st 2 games, this kid has stepped up and been very effective. He's made some difficult catches.

I think he can be our next Boss/Ballard but faster.
Just keep swimming

do your job, get a little better every day.

Everybody else on the offensive roster could do a better job.
Well except for

the terrible drop deep, Randle picked up his game last week.
Let's say he's been a

If it weren't for him.

We'd be 0-2.
can anyone who re-watches the games

not very good.
For donnell's sake

I hope he is not Ballard or Boss. Neither player could protect themselves when getting tackled which is why both are out of the league now. I also believe RG3 can't protect himself either which is why he is a bust in Washington. Donnell seems better at protecting himself. Hopefully he can have a productive career.

Shockey had a lot of injury issues also. Seems like it's a sad part of our TE history.
Really hoping

He can keep this up. Would be one less position we would need to worry about going forward on offense if he turns out to be a find (and we resign him).
He's a big guy

How long can it really take to learn blocking and execute well?
Remember,

He started off as a QB at Grambling.
Donnell reminds me of a loaf of bread

Donnell is not going to last very long if every single catch

is a diving catch. He needs to stay on his feet and punish the DBs, not the other way around.

He's a big man and should be able to dish it out. Hope they continue to coach him up. He sure has good hands. Better already than Myers.
If the Giants continue to run the TE on seam passes
Jupiter : 9/16/2014 3:22 pm : link
and a QB who throws the ball high, you will continue to see them get injured and concussed.

That puts the TE and safety on a collision course. The TE has his hands up with no way to defend himself.
This is funny:

Maybe you should ask our offensive line.
Donnell is no good because he can't protect himself ...

What ? He goes down the middle and makes the football cross-bar level catch that Victor Cruz (who is seven inches shorter) can't. Please.

Mr. Eli Manning is FAMOUS for his high thrown passes. That's why 6'6" Larry Donnell is a blessing; 6'2" Rueben Randle waking up is vital. If 6'4" Corey Washington can contribute big, we are SET.

I know, we're a WCO team now, but we still have one of the very best stand-and-deliver, down-the-field QBs in the history of the NFL, (but he needs time to throw). When he doesn't have it, he looks scared and pathetic.
Looks like Gilbride Jr

is doing a real nice job with what looked to be a weak TE corp
Donnell looks big
kepler20 : 9/16/2014 10:38 pm : link
That's the thing that surprised me the last 2 weeks. He towers over all the LBers and he can highpoint the ball. Not a great RAC guy, and his size leads you to believe that there is no reason why he cant develop himself into a adequate blocker.
Comments are cautiosly optimistic

Why hold back. So far he's doing a helluva job.Could be really good. Who knew?
