EAST RUTHERFORD -- It took all of one week for Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell to adjust the game plan. Veteran defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka's role already appears to be decreasing...
He can create more pressure which is what they really need right now. Detroit Lions played a guy(M. Addison) that has been bouncing around a few teams and is similar in height & weight to Moore and he registered 2.5 sacks yesterday?? But hey it's all up to Fewell...
light. He won't hold up to the strain of playing 50 snaps just yet. Kiwanuka is sturdy. Coughlin loves him. What is he playing for, basically the vet minimum adjusted to service time?
"• Overall, the defense played well enough to win. If not for a fluke-ish penalty where McClain didn't hear the whistle and was flagged for a personal foul on third-and-long, the Giants defense probably wouldn't have allowed a single touchdown. Sure, there were some inexplicable third-and-long conversions, but the defense should have allowed a total of nine points. That should be good enough to win on any Sunday in the NFL"
this is a week where Kiwi should get a few more snaps. He's still stout against the run when he doesn't duck inside on the bounce sweep. He doesn't have a good pass rush, but he can still play the run.
Houston's plan is pretty simple. They want to run and then run some more.
had the highest rated DE PFF rating this week from PFF. However, thats a farse. He did play pretty decent, he has a little left in the tank, if we continue to increase D Moores snaps and keep the vet fresh.
He is a good run defender, has shown some pass rush ability and seems to play hard every play. Moore is not ready for prime time and despite all the nashing of teeth on this Board about trying Kiwi at linebacker, he has never been more than a situational pass rusher. He won't be on the team next year.
Hahahahahaha
