After this season who do you think should get fired.

scott in albany : 9/16/2014 5:36 pm
The head coach, Reese or both. I say Reese.

Reese cant build a team
NYG007 : 9/17/2014 9:05 am : link
He is the problem. TC will go out on his shield, but he should retire. He will never get fired though. TC can kick Mara in the sack and still not get fired.

Have you ever seen Men of Honor? TC is going to be the old crazy colonel up in that tower at divers school (minus being a bigget) until he cant function anymore, on our sideline.
I'm tired of hearing

Reese still needs to pick his own coach bs. He won 2 Superbowl's with a Core that was originally picked by his predecessor.

If he didn't win 2 superbowl's in his tenure I would entertain that thought.

If the team was loaded with talent and under achieving I would entertain that thought.

He has progressively gotten worse in his duties year after year.

He gives the coaches sub par talent and they are supposed to pick from that pile to be on the team.

He needs to go if this team does not turn it around.

I really believe they all need to go..

This is a quick turn around league you need to be constantly reloading.. reverting back to a complete rebuild is just sad.
I want you fired,

Scott. Don't let the door hit you in the ass?
What if

Now we know why training camp was moved.

They didn't want to catch "the stupid."
I'd rather hire a man

who has made mistakes and learned from them than hire a man who hasn't yet made those mistakes.
I can't believe this thread

this early in a season.
Re-building doesn't happen over night. This is the GM & HC & QB that gave us 2 recent Superbowl wins. Give them a chance, they've earned it.

So, a second losing season in a row and missing the playoffs 5 out of the last 6 years would be fine with you? No reason to make any changes?

And Reese deserves minimal credit for the '07 championship.
Drafting must improve
JonC : 9/17/2014 11:18 am : link
Ross didn't fare well in Philly, and hasn't here either. It's got to begin there, no more overdrafting prospects they fall in love with.
Reese chose to re-sign TC
fkap : 9/17/2014 12:35 pm : link
stop with the bullshit of Reese hasn't been able to pick his own HC. He's had plenty of time and opportunity to replace TC, unless he's been outvoted (see below)

Waaaay too early for this thread, but, IF the season tanks, without any of Reese's acquisitions stepping up to any appreciable degree, I'd like to see a major shakedown. Specifics are difficult, though.

IMO, there's a 3 headed beast at Giants central: TC, Reese, and ownership/Chris Mara. We really don't know who is pulling the trigger. Is TC getting lots of input, and failing? Is ownership/Chris Mara meddling, and failing? Is Reese trying to appease all, and failing? My guess is that it's a mix and a muddle. If we truly have a HOF coach, there isn't a chance in hell that he's not getting a say in acquisitions. Chris Mara was a major player, and allegedly a prime candidate for Reese's job and/or other GM positions. He didn't just shrink away to a nothing in the organization. Whether he's in cahoots with John is unknown. How much ultimate power Reese wields is an unknown.

What I expect to happen, IF the season tanks, is that Reese remains, TC 'retires', there's a major coaching shakeup, and the behind the scenes stuff gets rearranged.

Quinn, Ross, Shauger. Chris Mara, too, but I doubt that's doable.

The entire front office should go. Despite their efforts, the team has note gotten better in any crucial position since the SB win. No move they seemed to have made really panned out and the players they were able to acquire aren't understanding the playbook. Still too many "miscommunications" for a professional franchise and way too many boneheaded plays for a team focused on discipline.

It's not on the players as much as it's a failure of leadership and that's on TC and JR.

I'm not sure it's in the DNA of the Maras to fire someone like TC or even JR but they need to go if the franchise is to move forward and become competitive again, IMO.

If the Giants play well, its because of TC. If they play like shit, it's everyone's fault other than TC.. What a joke. It's Jr's fault they played like crap last week?? TC once again is culpable for this shoddy play
Let's forfeit the rest of the season!
Bramton1 : 9/19/2014 10:47 am : link
It's obvious after 120 minutes of football that this team sucks and has no possible chance of even improving during the 2014 season. Let's save ourselves the embarrassment and throw in the towel now.

Then, we fire everyone. The players, coaches, trainers, doctors, front office, secretaries, grounds crew, concession vendors, stadium maintenance, everybody associated any way with the current team. Let's also cancel all the PSLs, revoke all the season tickets, burn down Metlife Stadium, and prepare for the 2015 season to be played behind the nearest Wal-Mart.

Because if we're going to push the panic button this quickly, we might as well go all out.

I joined this site in November 2007. I can only imagine what it was like two months earlier after the Giants were 0-2.
Fire that

damn drum corps they have at the stadium.
can people honestly not see the difference between 2007 and 2014?
Greg from LI : 9/19/2014 11:24 am : link
They're there, trust me. Look a bit more closely and you'll see them.
Just look at the failures -
OldPolack : 9/19/2014 11:54 am : link
no TE's, no decent lb's . Excluding this year how many draft choices beyond the 4th round have made the team.
Look at the free agent signings prior to the 2003 SB - starting MLB & RLB and OC, RT, Plax , 2DB's. The Giants used information from their DC who coached against the offensive linemen. He also knew Plax's ability as a receiver. It seems that the Giants do not share information or try too.

I'm not saying there wasn't a difference. But after giving up 80 points in our first two games in 2007, I'm sure BBI was in full panic mode.

Reese should be fired. Maybe we can bring in somebody from the 49er organization. Those guys know how to build a football team.

Really? Where is the best in NFL OL on this year's team? Plaxico Burress? Amani Toomer? Steve Smith? Bradshaw, Jacobs and Ward in the backfield? Prime time Tuck, Osi? Strahan? Yeah, lots of similarities between the 2007 and 2014 teams.
