6'4 215-220 lbs., elevates well for the ball, solid in red zone and had a monster pre-season. Why put Parker out there instead? Makes little sense to me. This is the perfect time to see if Washington can shine with some semblance of snaps with the starters.

and make connections that aren't there, are making me hopeful that Parker (who fell in the endzone last week) can be like Cruz (who dropped his only pass week 1 of 2011) and turn into a star the rest of the way.

Parker is a 4 year vet and probably runs better routes.
This. Washington is a UDFA rookie from a tiny college. Putting him out there for specific plays is OK, but miscommunications between him and Eli are otherwise pretty much a given. Of course, Randle is out there, and he and Eli have had more miscommunication INTs than people have fingers, and maybe toes as well. What a mess.
Hope we see Washington getting snaps. Personally that fade route in the end zone doesn't succeed very often. Looking for Washington going downfield and making a big play.
