Dude, you are screwed no matter what if those are your three options. I hope you have Peyton Manning, Jimmy Graham, McCoy and Forte.

I don't trust Welker but if he is back, which he is, then you have to start him.

I just got offered a trade. 0.5 PPR and I am 0-2 with a crushing 1 point loss last week.

I receive Aaron Rodgers and C. Patterson of the Vikings.

I give up Nick Foles and Dez Bryant.

other WR's are Emmanuel Sanders, Andre Johnson, Golden Tate and Markus Wheaton. Dez is my clear #1

I believe I am rejecting it.

I'd reject the deal.

Dez is better than Patterson -- and you don't know how AP's absence is going to impact the production of the O (despite the fact Patterson will get more carries/targets).

Foles has almost as high of a ceiling as Rodgers, once he gets the O going, in my opinion. The gain you make getting Rodgers doesn't outweigh giving up Dez for Patterson.

Question for you guys:

Hawkins vs Ravens or Wheaton vs Carolina
Suggesting that Foles has as much upside as Rodgers
kmed : 9/18/2014 10:02 am : link
is an attempt to put them somewhere near the same class. They are not. In fact, Foles has looked terrible so far this season and I don't see it changing. I am convinced that last year was the aligning of the moons for him and he's going to be a middle of the pack QB this year. Very unimpressed with him despite him being in a perfect offense for your fantasy QB.

Rodgers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Foles
For me it was a huge drop at WR if I make the trade

I can live with Foles dumping off 5 yard passes that go for 40 yards.

Bush all the way...GB defense is a sieve
If Martin doesn't play
UConn4523 : 9/18/2014 10:30 am : link
I'm starting Rainey over Bush. Rainey ran right through a great D-line and Atlanta's line is pitiful.

If Martin plays, the touches obviously lessen, but its not a cut and dry scenario, IMO. Bush also has under 100 total yards through 2 games, so you can take that as him losing his luster a bit, or just not breaking out yet (could be either).

All but 2 of Sproles' receiving yards were YAC. Foles looks terrible this year and if it isn't for McCoy/Sproles, he'd be toward the bottom of the league to start the season.

Basically, you can't bank on 150 yards passing to your RB's on a weekly basis.

Bucs beat writer @NFLSTROUD: "Bobby Rainey will start and not just b/c of Doug Martin's knee. Coaches really like him"
was just going to post that
UConn4523 : 9/18/2014 10:36 am : link
"Not just because of Doug Martin's knee. Coaches really like [Rainey]," said beat writer Rick Stroud. To be clear, this looks like educated speculation, not sourced reporting. Coach Lovie Smith has declined to name a starter, only saying he wants to use a committee. But it's not that far-fetched to think that the Bucs want to ride Rainey's hot hand after he put up 174 total yards on 25 touches in Week 2. It's a messy situation, but at this point we'd give Rainey the edge as the better flex play in this cake matchup.
I have Rainey and am against Martin
UConn4523 : 9/18/2014 10:37 am : link
so i hope its like 75/25 split in favor of Rainey, or Martin just not playing at all.
I'm not sure I'd play Bush over Rainey

Bush hasn't done much the last two weeks, and is losing time to Bell. He had only 8 touches last week.
Trade Carlos Hyde for the Pats or Niners D?
Grey Pilgrim : 9/18/2014 11:00 am : link
I'm considering attempting to trade Carlos Hyde to the Gore owner in my league in order to secure a top defense. The gore owner has two : The Pats and The Niners.

I would then cut the Chargers and attempt to snag another rb from the ww such as Khiry Robinson or Donald Brown. I consider Robinson to be a similar player as Hyde.

What you think? I know he's interested in Hyde as he mentioned him to me several times. (as an aside I doubt he'd be interested in Gates as he already has Jimmy Graham.) Also, the Ravens are avail on the ww.

12 team Standard Scoring, Start 1 Qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 flex (rb/wr), 1 te, 1 k, 1 d, with 5 bench spots.

My team:

Foles
Cam

Lynch
R Jennings
Hyde
Bradshaw

Dez
Maclin
Decker
Wallace

Gronk
Gates

Vinatieri

Chargers

Also, if I don't trade for the Pats or Niners....

since week 2 of last year. The 4 games after regressed each time for the most part, then he got the big injury. Not he's kind of injured again.

I can just as easily see him putting up another dud as I can him putting the haters to rest tonight.

For Rainey, he's had enough explosive games where I can call him better. His bad games last year were:

Detroit - close game
49ers - great line, blowout
Rams - great line, had a TD
Saints - huge blowout

Carolina - this year, only 6 touches but scored

normally I wouln't either, but Seattle looks like they had a super bowl hangover last week getting abused by Rivers. That anemic running game even ran a little.

My only hesitation is it's in Seattle and they don't lose there often, but I think Peyton and the Broncos still put up points.

It would be an easy call for me. Sit Floyd.
kmed : 9/18/2014 12:30 pm : link
Floyd has a total of 13 targets this year. He most likely will have a bad QB throwing the ball. Montee Ball will be involved in the offense, he can catch the ball. I'd easily sit Floyd.

I think there's no question that the play is Rainey right now since Martin seems highly unlikely to play.

The RB situation in Detroit is slowly becoming 60-40 in Bell's favor, making Bush less and less of a sure thing especially in non-PPR leagues.

What are people's thoughts on Jeremy Hill vs. Carlos Hyde for the rest of the season? I have Jeremy Hill and I'm considering trading him for Carlos Hyde plus. Hill has more value now but I like Hyde more as a talent and I think Gore is likelier to break down than Bernard. Plus, Hill is on my bench for now anyway. Thoughts?

Absolutely Rainey, especially if Martin doesn't play. He will get 20 touches as long as it isn't a blow out, and he'll likely get garbage screen passes if its a blowout.
Osi,
kmed : 9/18/2014 1:11 pm : link
I think it depends on what you are looking for. Hyde is a much better talent, but unless it's a keeper league, I just don't see him having value this season unless Gore gets hurt. I have him and I'm still holding onto him because he'd be amazing if Gore wasn't around, but they barely give him any touches and Gore looks good. Why would that change to the point where Hyde is worth actually starting on my team? Hill's role seems to be increasing a bit as time goes on and I guess at some point he might be worth starting in a pinch. Unlike Hyde, I think he will get enough touches soon where he can at least be startable during bye weeks, even if Bernard is good to go.
yea I agree
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 9/18/2014 1:21 pm : link
that the smart play is to keep Hill. But I'm trying to figure out ways to snatch up Hyde. I'm hoping he has another down week or two and I can buy-low on him.

I'll never root for injuries and I hope Frank Gore stays healthy because he's just one badass mofo who I've liked since his Miami days, but he's a 31 year old RB with 2500 career touches and if he goes down Carlos Hyde becomes an elite fantasy RB. He's the biggest lottery ticket in the league this year imo.
Agreed on all accounts(except the college football part).
kmed : 9/18/2014 1:25 pm : link
That's why I'm holding onto Hyde myself. I have a pretty good group of RB's(Bernard, Jennings, Miller, Hyde, Forsett). I'd rather hold onto the lottery ticket. If I wasn't quite as deep with potential fill-ins on bye weeks, I might consider Hill over Hyde.

You start 2 RB's, 3 WR's and Flex. You have 4 RB's that you can comfortably start with a clear cut RB1. You have upside at RB as well.

You are pretty weak at WR and you will most likely be outmatched at WR2 and WR3 on a weekly basis.

You have the opportunity to upgrade the player as well as trade from strength for a weakness.

Do it.

Doug Martin has sucked, under 3 yards per carry the last 2 seasons. That was Rainey's job, easy matchup against the Falcons who can't stop the run, he solidifies it tonight. Then, nightmare. I can't beat myself up over starting Rainey, it had 125 total yards, 5 receptions 2 tds written all over it.

I can however kick myself for sitting Devin Hester with Roddy White out. Welker better do something against Seattle!

Doug Martin was a rookie in 2012 and averaged 4.6 ypc with 11 TD's, he was injured in his 2nd season running behind a terrible, 2004-Giants-like OL and averaged 3.6 ypc after 127 attempts.

he also caught 50 passes as a rookie.

Are you sure you're thinking of the same Doug Martin?
Yeah
Rocky Thompson : 9/18/2014 11:17 pm : link

Rumor in Tampa is that Martin could have played the last 2 weeks but Lovie is riding the hot hand. Rainey has been that hot hand. He might actually salvage something in garbage time here. No way do you trade Keenan Allen for Doug Martin. The RB situation is up in the air right now after tonight but at best for Martin owners it will be a RBBC. Rainey > Martin in PPR.
Rumor?

Or you just made that up? You're special.
How many points Roddy White get you tonight?

...
Rainey

Got me 10, I'll certainly take it. Mike James blows so I doubt he gets touches outside of an injury.
I don't have white in any

In PPR, DeAndre Hopkins or Andrew Hawkins at Flex? Hopkins has been scoring TDs, but Hawkins has 22 targets after 2 games.
Made 2 trades yesterday, thoughts?
armstead98 : 9/19/2014 7:45 am : link
1. Traded Knile Davis for Mark Ingram. My team is pretty solid except for my RB2. I figured this was a chance at a good RB for when Ingram comes back. He looked great before he broke his hand. Also there were some saying that Charles isn't going to be out that long so wanted to trade KD while he had value.

2. Traded Asiata and Hopkins for Gehrhart. The one is questionable but here's my thinking. Gerhart is the guy for the Jags and I think underrated. Off to a terrible start. But is he worse than Asiata? Probably not. It actually sounds like Min is going RBBC I'll take Gerharts upside. Next, Hopkins. I just think he's overrated and I'm not going to start him, ever. I'm going to go pick up Davante Adams who has more upside than Hopkins.

Thoughts on the 2 deals? Was I a moron in the 2nd trade?
I despise Gerhart
UConn4523 : 9/19/2014 8:09 am : link
no idea what your team looks like but Gerhart looks like a backup RB.

He exemplifies what the word "putz" means.
I'm wrong actually.

I do have White in one of my leagues, but I'm so deep at WR that it really didn't matter.

If it's my team, I'm starting Hawkins.
another issue i have
RicFlair : 9/19/2014 8:42 am : link
now that aj green has practiced and may play. I start 3 wide receivers and i have a flex spot.

i have:

AJ Green
Randall Cobb
Kendall Wright
Andrew Hawkins
Mohammed Sanu
Cecil Shorts
Carlos Hyde

I also have Jordan Cameron and Travis Kelce at tight end.

If Green plays you have to start him right? and then put hawkins at the flex and sit sanu shorts and hyde?
never sit AJ Green

unless he's just not playing.
