4-2 record

LG in NYC : 9/18/2014 10:13 am
Call it a vision from the gods...a hunch... blind allegiance... too much sniffing glue when I was younger...whatever you want to attribute it too... but as down as I am on this entire team and organization right now...

I forsee us being 4-2 a month from now.

Let it be so.

3-3 isn't impossible
JonC : 9/18/2014 10:16 am : link
but now the issue is key injuries have made the OL and defense really thin. We don't have the horses to run with Philly, that would be a significant upset.
2-4
Buck Dharma : 9/18/2014 10:17 am : link
is much more likely.
I got 2-4
Route 9 in LEH : 9/18/2014 10:20 am : link
I think the Giants will lose to the Texans

beat Washington and Atlanta

Lose to Philly

I think I'm setting the bar way too high
I see 3-3 with steady improvement...
okiegiant : 9/18/2014 10:21 am : link
just one week at a time right now and see where it goes.
Atlanta
Zebra3 : 9/18/2014 10:23 am : link
Has major weapons. You really think this defense can go toe to toe with them?
2-8
natefit : 9/18/2014 10:25 am : link
by mid Nov.
I agree
chuckydee9 : 9/18/2014 10:29 am : link
I had that hunch from the beginning that we would lose the first 2 games.. then get going and eventually make the playoffs... the offense looked better last week...
Just getting that 1st win
mrvax : 9/18/2014 10:31 am : link
hopefully this Sunday is important. Can't wait 7 games this time.
LG in NYC or LG in Colorado?
Reale01 : 9/18/2014 10:35 am : link
Hoping for the best. Not expecting much.
I agree.....
Doomster : 9/18/2014 10:38 am : link
getting over the hump of a first win, is the starting point....See a lot of confidence in this board on beating the Texans......it comes down to, can the Giants play mistake free football?
I do need some new glasses...
dcgiantsfan : 9/18/2014 10:44 am : link
...so I like what LG sees better than what I'm seeing:)

I think we need to win the next 2 games to keep this season alive.

Just get to 2-2. See what happens from there. We cannot lose on Sunday. It's over if we do.
1 and 2
Bob from Massachusetts : 9/18/2014 11:04 am : link
would be nice
I'm not sure ehat to expect Sunday.....
BillKo : 9/18/2014 11:06 am : link
does the offense continue to improve?

Or will it take a step back?

As I had said in the preseason, we need to see these guys play for 60 minutes/70 plays per game for a month to evaluate where we are.

But I do know we need to get the scoring up to the mid 20's, 14 a game isn't going to win us anything.

And it would be nice to have the defense give us some short fields.

Hopefully it happens this Sunday.
Question is, what do they need to do to get to 4-2
ANGPASS : 9/18/2014 11:12 am : link
-Win turnover battle
-Catch the easy passes
-D get off the field on third down
-Be more disciplined on ST
-run ball more effectively

WTF is so hard. Eli obviously isn't declining. He was money. everyone else sucks.

Still a lot of improvement needed before I'm willing to think we can
JFIB : 9/18/2014 11:35 am : link
Beat Houston even. Haven't we been shut out in the second half of both games so far? Perhaps the offense has been so simplified at this point that other teams are figuring it out and adjusting well in the second half?

Not true in last game. The drops are what stalled the offense. not the defense.
You guys are overthinking this
LG in NYC : 9/18/2014 11:56 am : link
Giants won't be 4-2 because they are a good team.

It is simply written in the stars. It won't make sense, it will just happen.

: )
We are Playing
thevett : 9/18/2014 11:56 am : link
for the #1 overall pick and hopefully Reese will not be drafting unless he signs up for a Fantasy draft
i dreamt last night we were down 14-0 5 minutes into the 1st qtr
knicks3031 : 9/18/2014 12:31 pm : link
It was 14-7 midway thru the quarter when I woke up... that's all I got

3 keys to game:
Win turnover battle
Stop run
Run the ball 4-5 yes a clip
yards not yes

I like your thinking, LG.

Unfortunately we are only good at one of those three things and without Beason we will most likely not be good at that anymore.
I hope they focus on

One game at a time

Just have to win this one for now. Let's hope these guys aren't looking at their season prospects, and are focusing at the task at hand (which I'm sure they're better at than we are).
2-8 & finish
bob in tx : 9/19/2014 7:37 am : link
7-9.
The Giants will be lucky to win four games this year
GeofromNJ : 9/19/2014 1:48 pm : link
Wouldn't bother me. I don't like McAdoo and I thought his coming on board made little sense. In addition, winning four games is the only way Fewell will be forced out because it will be Coughlin's last year. I'm not saying the next coaching staff, and most likely the next general manager, will be instant improvements, but Coughlin's selections of assistants is baffling and I've come to think very little of Reese as a general manager.
